Nawh, just means he is over the worst part of the journey (life).

As long as he stays away from the edge of the cliff.

I was worried for him there :)

Tommy made it a bit more interesting with them, if the were on with Tubridy interviewing them, you would probably fall asleep.

She’s very impressive, intelligent and articulate.

It always good to see someone define their disability, not letting it define them.

No bitterness, no anger which a lot of people with disabilities can understandably have.

When I hear about the government putting together a citizens assembly or appointing people to the Seanad it’s people like her that I hope they consider for it.

Your wrong, she just said there that it does define her.

AFAIK she sits on the Council of State.

This show is a total set up. Tiernan 100% is aware of the guests coming up, his questions and anecdotes specific to the guests are well rehearsed.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

Said on the titles at the end that hes the executive producer. So yeah I agree with you. Of couse he knows who is coming on. Probably even chooses them.

The Begleys were a tonic. Better than Tubs last night giving over half the programme to COVID. It's meant to be light entertainment. The lads provided a much needed distraction in these bleak times. Particularly enjoyed Séamus's response to Tommy's question ‘Do you dream in Irish’ he asks
‘I think I do, but my nightmares are in English. '
Brendan struck a different note, and spoke of nearly losing his life when a boat he was travelling in capsized. As he flailed in the sea (one of his friends would drown) the thought struck him that he was glad for all the great night's he had drinking and playing music. Great TV imo

The obsession on Boards about Ryan Tubridy is very worrying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,421 ✭✭✭✭Water John

In all its life the LLS has dealt with both light and serious subjects.
Executive Producer is in charge of an overall show at a macro level. I would take it that he doesn't know the guests as stated, on individual shows.

A lot of people have it in for Tubs on boards. Obsession really.

Well that was a boring Tommy Tirnan show. I did not care at all for the first two boring. The second two were ok. Your one at the end whatever. Never heard of her.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Bit of a side note but does anyone else find Fred Cooke extremely annoying for no particular reason!!

I felt he was under used. I'm guessing he used to do some warm up stuff with the studio audience.

What's the point of having a professional comedian to say three scripted intro lines?

Isn't that kinda the point of the show?

In fairness, she's been on the Late Late before and was on the radio with Brendan O'connor a few weeks ago.

Which particular questions or anecdotes from the latest edition do you reckon were rehearsed?
