Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Impressed with Trent Alexander Arnold - great speed and a good cross. Woodburns close control is excellent.

Good to see the young lads introduced early to our kryptonite........

The Karius / Moreno combo hasn't been that bad (yet)

It's like they think that after a certain number of fouls the ref will just stop calling them.

Don't know how Klopp does it but fair play to him getting the sun to shine directly into Plymouth's six yard box. Genius.

Sturridge would score against this lot easier than any of our other players.

255 passes for the pool vs 21 for Plymouth

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Plymouth have under 30 passes ffs, thats ridiculous

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,510 ✭✭✭hadepsx

Has someone brought one of them monkeys from the zoo into anfield. Every few minutes I'm hearing a booming 'woo woo wooh'. Thought it was a pigeon too close to microphone at first but it's so loud.
Anyways back to the game, LFC playing well.just need a goal.

It's basically the Liverpool reserves too. No real precision or pace to the game. Absolutely dead atmosphere

Was that Karius' first touch (near the halfway line)?

The heat maps for this game will be highlarious. 21 players in one half of the pitch at all times.

Liverpool done very little in terms of final product though......a lot of passive possession....

The subs look bored out of their head.

    Woodburn has great control.

they have a back 6... its tough to break that down with a bunch of players who haven't started that often together. A few of our lads (mainly moreno) need to move the ball a little quicker tho.

I'm not criticising, just an observation.....

Actually the worst thing I've ever seen from Moreno. Gets the ball at the 6 yard box and just chips it to the keeper.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

    Here comes the Plymouth goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

    Chance for a break!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

The plymouth lads all huffing and puffing already. Should tire out in the 2nd half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Plymouth fans giving Everyon fans a good run for their money as the most annoying fans.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

I'm not going to be critical as it's a young side and damned hard playing against a side that are camped so deep and show such a lack of footballing ambition

You've seen worse from him, but it was bad.

It will be an easy win in the 2nd half for Liverpool.
They will continue to have 80%+ possession and will wear Plymouth down who will tire.

Awful 'atmosphere', if it wasn't for the Plymouth fans you could hear a pin drop

All the need to do is start booing for the time they're not trying to claim stupid decisions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

If we have a sight at goal in the box just smash it.......Moreno tried to be clever but he's not the only one complicating the attack.....need an ugly goal......

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Actually the worst thing I've ever seen from Moreno.

You obviously missed the Europa League final.
Flat performance. Disappointed in Can & Origi for not standing out more against dreadful opposition. We'll probably bring on a few from the bench but shouldn't have to resort to it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

It's the type of game that once there's a goal, the floodgates will open.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,977 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Liverpool totally on top but poor in the final third. I'd expect Klopp to sort that out before 60 minutes and when they get a goal the floodgates should open.

We'll have to see if they will boo players down injured and shout for handball every time a shot is blocked......big half coming up to see if they are up to it.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

If this goes to a replay I doubt Klopp will be arsed going.

Not sure they will tire physically as they're just doing basic defending against a fairly slow paced possession game. Maybe there will be mental fatigue and a loss of concentration but I think a Liverpool player might come up with a bit of class to win it.

Ref feels bad for Plymouth, giving them a free kick for nothing.

He's a senior player unlike the rest of the midfield I expect him to stand out better against a team who are basically hoping we don't score as they have no ambition to attack. Show a bit more as he has previously. I can excuse the youngsters but we won't play worse opposition this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

The commentary team here is a disgrace how belittling they have been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Funny that attackers pushing in the box at a corner leads to a free out, but defenders doing it just leads to the corner being retaken.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Ejaria hasn't had the greatest of games. I'd leave Woodburn on and bring Ejaria or Ojo off if anyone.
