BER reassessment for SEAI grant?

Our house got a BER cert at the end of last summer but before Christmas we replaced the boiler and heating controls.

We need to get the BER done again for the grant. Will the entire house need to be reassessed or can the assessor just come and evaluate the heating system?

I was in touch with the original assessor and he replied asking was it for the grant, and I never heard anything since once I told him it was. Don't know if that means he's not interested and it won't pay enough, or if he just forgot about me.

Anyone, via PM, suggest anyone in north-west Dublin?

It would be significantly easier (and therefore cheaper for you) for the original assessor to do it because he will only need to update his assessment based on the changes that have occurred to your house. He will of course have to check the entire house to make sure nothing else was changed.

If you get someone new they will have to do the full process that the original assessor did so expect to pay the same again.

Yeah, I was thinking this would be the case, I suppose I should get back in touch.
