Getting to that hypnotic stage now where anything vaguely snow looking catches my attention. Feeling a bit dazed now lol.

Still mostly sleet here in Cork, come on snow! ❄️

Some parts of the south will have a fairly snowy day between this front and what is to come later.

Leinster could be having plenty of fun and games later on!

A few flakes of snow fell in Fermoy, gone back to boring rain now. The snow still has to make it way south.

Chilly day today. Temperature in Lucan has dropped marginally from 3.1 to 2.9 degrees in the last hour. DP at 1.3.

Excellent. Once I get out of Dublin pretty early today I'll be happy. Once there's a flake of snow everything stops

Temp has definitely dropped but no sign of snow in Athlone. Ground is wet from rain a few hours ago.

Was just looking at the Met Eireann radar, most of the precipitation seems to be in the southern half of the country. Scattered showers further north, could be hit and miss.

I think for Cork city the chance of snow will in the form of showers later this evening /overnight, not in the next few hours , expect there will be some dusting tomorrow morning.

i was talki9ng to an auld fella recently in the northwest and he predicted that we were in for some snow. He was saying the Curlews were in lower down fields than usual so that was a sure sign that a cold snap was on the way. Mother nature really is the only baramoter for predicting weather I feel...

Keep getting showers of snizzle/light snow. Kinda disappointing.

Nice to see the snow, but thought it would've been heavier.
