Thinks that's the last of any snow where I am until after 5-6pm. Hills look very nice. The showers feeding in to Clare and Kerry look beefy

No conjecture here - just abject hope

Fronts at 12pm. That trough to the NW should start making impact on the N/NW coast in the next few hours.

Meant to be going to wesport/Connemara for the weekend, leaving Dublin tomorrow, how bad is it for the west? should I be looking at other destinations? have some people visiting and need to take them somewhere :-)

and over , much brighter after it , expecting a bit of a further drop in temps now as we get into the colder air and showers to get more wintry in the afternoon

Looks more impressive out the window.

I think the small polar low feature is on the very eastern edge of that trough line. Could bring a small zone of strong winds to parts of the north coast later.

U should be fine no snow in the west blown all out of proportion.

Jaysus, what are people expecting, 1ft of snow or something.

After 3pm there MAYBE showers, not a constant downpour of snow, that was never forecasted.
Yeah, but it's Ireland. As soon as the flakes start falling, there'll be a crush to leave early to beat the traffic and everything will turn to mayhem.

Thankfully I am at home today :D

My American friend living here always says that Cork people are still talking about "that time we had that snow" on Christmas Day about 12 years ago!! It was literally a sprinkling, she's used to feet of snow where she's from!
