Now waits for Dublin to totally shut down, whilst the rest of the Country got on with it all day.

    This is just the beginning
Look simply at Met Eireanns 6pm sat pic to see the collossal amount of showers in bands to the NW for 100's of miles all heading SE with the only place they can go being Ireland

You picked up on that too.
This is the latest sat picture from Sat24 showing the thickness of the cloud.
    Look at that above Ireland.
I highlighted the centre of the low with a pink dot.
I haven't given up in wexford after seeing that. Although the midlands look to be snow central.

Some snow for the townies, maybe a dash more later, but probably no need to get the shovels out yet, come Sunday it's looking like 10oC+

Snowstorm has just begun in Tullamore, ground is at about 5.5 inches now... I can't believe my eyes.

I am in Tullamore town and not a flake to be seen. Where are you?

    Sticking in Dublin 15

Well we have a flurry sticking here in roundwood, so if it made it up and over the mountains this far, hard to see the Dublin side not seeing anyway.

Misleading post. You should have made it clear you're not in the town but actually on high ground over 5km from the town.

Meanwhile it is raining again in South Donegal.

I've been on the bus from the city the whole time south. Same everywhere just swirling around

Strong winds here in West Clare, gust of 37kts just recorded.

Gust of 40kts just triggered an alert on the weather station.

I'd be very cynical about those claims. Live close to Tullamore and only a light dusting on the ground.
