Still snowing across the border in S Limerick, we'd be a bit more elevated. Completely blanketed now.

I think it's curtains for here where I am as not high enough.

It's a bit dark but I had no flash on my phone... As you can see a huge blanket of snow.

Not one for giving up early, but temperature of 4.3c, dewpoint of 2c, and the fact that all the showers seem to weaken as they reach here, I've given up on this one, seems I was on the wrong size of marginal.

    2020 maybe!

It must be as the snow event is a complete non event here in Tullamore.

Just outside Tullamore, plenty has fallen - none sticking

    Temperatures are rising.
Here outside on the hills of Kilkenny the temperature has risen from -0.2C to +0.6C.
    DP -0.1C

All gone quiet here now, you must've eaten your words by now if you said I was lying. Haha at least I have some of the white gold to enjoy tomorrow. ;)

That would be the warm sector as per gfs.

i think its safe to say its over here on cork kerry border near millstreet. we had a good few showers today. a mixture of rain graupel hail sleet and snow and just recently back to rain again, its funny how it got suddenly milder again, its alway's difficult to forecast such events esp when you have to masses of air coliding and never know which one is going to win out. a south southwest front coming up against an easterly or north easterly and the front stalling is a much better senario but unfortunately doesnt happen much in ireland,

That's it. No snow in Donegal or Sligo. It's actually turned noticeably milder in the last hour or two outside compared to earlier. Not even going to watch the RTE forecast this evening. I also hear the latest ECM is terrible again. So it will be muck until end of March, then perfect setup snow wise at Easter, except by then it's to bloody late in the year for any snow to lie and before you know it we are into May.... one of the most boring months of the year.

I'm going to come off here for a while also. Beginning to depress me. Over and out.

There was no status yellow warning for Dublin.

Last time I checked Leinster contained Dublin, so there was.

Was snowing very heavily in Cooley, Co. Louth. Live on the coast, 200m from the shore and it was a hell of a sight!

Had a few flakes about an hour ago near Clara. But stopped now and it is getting milder. Temp has risen from 0 to 2 in two hours. That should be that. ECM has gone belly up for coldies and what a surprise that is. I am not saying winter is over, but you can sense real disappointment again.

There wasn't much snow forecast for the east anyway, don't know why people are so upset.
