There's no point asking "WILL I GET SNOW AT MY LOCATION?!?!?!?!?" because of the very nature of the event.

Showers will spread from the North West, Mayo and Donegal will get the heaviest and most frequent, and this risk will decrease as you head south east until you reach Wexford, which has a low chance of snow.

Read my post earlier, heed the Met Eireann warnings and for calculating your risk look North West on a map from your location and see how far you are from the Northwest.

Dublin may get snow, but due to the showers there could well be snow in Lucan but none in Cellbridge! All depends on how the showers work out.

Is there any chances of snow heading to Dublin tonight or tomorrow I'm guessing driving will be okay?

ha awwwwh thats so cute. you should visit lapland over here in the west when it snows. if you can't drive up snowy hills here you starve. :D

I live on a very steep hill and a 4 wheel drive or a tractor is needed.
Tractor usually needed to pull drivers out of the ditches...
I am just going to make sure later today I have enough supplies till Monday.
Then stock up again if an easterly beast is going to come.

Precipitation charts are only a guide especially when it comes to snow. It's only by watching Sat images and radar will we get a true reflection of what will be happening tomorrow.
In reality anywhere in the country can get snow tomorrow.
Today here in Waterford City it's been a dry mostly sunny and breezy day

Just to emphasise what a load of nonsense the snow charts are, we've already supposedly got a widespread covering of snow here in Donegal. In reality all we've had is a handful of light hail showers all day.

Ok so everyone here is wrong so 😂
Met eireann play it safe so they can't be blamed when they get it wrong. They said wintery showers of rain hail sleet and snow. Think they covered them selfs lol.😆😂😂

Sadly. It's possible tomorrow though, but not very likely.

There's a potential easterly next week which may deliver, although that's in doubt now.

see met eireann have taken a slight backtrack

snow mainly on high ground in munster

    prob tomorrow morning better there.

M4 Buoy 3.6C Half a Degree C in an Hour.

You can see where this is going fast to negative.

where are you getting your data from? Met.ie says it's +10.3°C, can it really change that dramatically within an hour from your post?

Cold air won't reach us until late morning afternoon so will start off as rain and sleet. Tomorrow afternoon evening our best chance.

oh.. why would you monitor that?

Dew points are falling fast, all good to aid snow.

Met E forecast downgrading their snow language. I will be very surprised if anywhere below 300 metres that's not in the northwest gets any lying snow. I will be roving around tomorrow so will get first hand accounts.

Have they? For where. I can't see a downgrade on the current charts.

Downgrades are not permitted at this stage

Latest GFS showing countrywide snow for tomorrow morning at 9am:

    GFSOPUK12_21_4.png

Seems to be a heavy band across mid Leinster.

Must have missed that hail shower in Sligo.

I discard my own question.. I thought this is a rather pointless exercise if your surface temperature is +10, and 0°C isotherm is somewhere 7000-8000 ft up.. the latest aviation charts from met.ie say they have come down quite a bit in a few hours showing 0°C at 2000ft

Is the blue not rain or am I reading it wrong?

The colours mean the amount of percipation, not the nature of it.

Met E downgrades probably based the slight downgrade on 12z Harmonie which has less in way of snow
