Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On Ebay there's spoof scratch cards you can get and each say you have won €5k when scratched, they would be a grand job to dish out to your mates of an evening to get them to splash out on rounds of beer, it's only when they scratch the void area it reveals they are a spoof so to speak, hours of fun and free beer to be had.

That seems to be like one of the accepted standard forms on this pronunciation guide. It's impossible to tell for sure, unless you provide phonetics.

It really is great to know a propotion of 'our finest ' in an GArda are spending their time going around making allegations against each other like backstabbing bitches rather than protecting us whilst we continue to pay their wages .

It's a matter of the power that these 'child & family agency' people have? Accusations like this can wreck peoples reputations regardless of the truth - no smoke without fire etc.

And we voted to given them even more powers in the childrens referendum a couple of years ago.

But are these people capable of exercising these powers? I'd think that most ordinary families must be very wary of them, given what we hear. If they can screw gardai and teachers, what'll they do to you?

    Nody,
by deleting the correspondence between ButtersSuki and myself, you have removed the only reference of anyone trying to defend the main target of this thread, who was never in a position to defend himself.
To tell us to carry on the usual banter is giving carte blanche to allow hidden charachters demean and defile someone in the Public Eye.

Ban me if you wish...but you are the disgrace here.

It all got very serious but I would have to agree, if the posts have been deleted that's not really in the spirit of boards. There was no personal abuse that I read?

I think someone on 500k a year should be well able to take a few harmless jibes online ... there is nothing nasty nor slanderous written about him here.

He has it good, he can take a little stick on here ffs!

It's not like his main demographic reads this anyway!

I think there's a personal element involved - either a grudge, or a little power-crazed control freak exercising their newly-granted power.
He'd have been better off scoring a thousand tickets and touting them - untouchable in Ireland.

    Demean and defile?
Joe's a bit of a verbal bruiser himself, and can well take care of himself without your help.
