Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whoy the fook do people bring you for a jaysus interview to then be told you have too much experience when your fooking CV they have has the fooking details to tell them before calling you the fook in?

I went for a job interview before Christmas, three panel interview. One fella tried to be a smart arse by knocking my experience in that field due to what was in my CV. So I took him apart in front of his two immediate supervisors and the CEO. Why was I dragged 200km across the country for an interview when the idiot hadn't read my CV. He would have been my supervisor, I told the others it wouldn't work as he was incompetent and stood up to go.

I got a call three days later and was offered a contract which gives me about 6-8 days work a month with them. Working from home too, so that's a bit of a bonus.

But I still wanted that permanent job and was mighty plssed that he hadn't read the CV.

I suspect the "too much experience" is a handy reason to use, after they meet the candidate. I've seen that happen a few times. Easier to say that rather than "we don't think you'll fit in".

They were probably expecting a looker so to speak.

    "This was the law".

It used to be the law that every male over 14 had to practice longbow shooting for two hours a week.

Not sure if you can get prosecuted for that.

Was it not compulsory for natives of Carlow to shoot passing beggars at least once a month?

There goes Duffy. defending FF to the hilt.

On the AerLingus issue, he claimed that FG privatised them, when it suited Joe's Agenda. Now he states that they were already privatised when they moved the Heathrow slots under FF.
