Apart from not telling her what the accusation was, I can't see what else the HSE could have done. They were faced with an allegation of sexual assault on a vulnerable person. They couldn't have left her in post.

Well, the other side of this is that it's good to see that people working in the area can fall foul as well. Parents and ordinary folk are very vulnerable to these HSE and Tusla people, their word is law. So maybe stories like this will make a few of them realise that the power they wield over ordinary peoples lives.

Not that simple - she sounds like she was dealing with challenging children, autism and other difficulties. Suppose the kid made it up and the parents honestly believed it?

Absolutely. But had they left a person accused of sexual assault in post, and they had reoffended, Joe et al would be screaming from the rooftops.
