Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Joe sitting on the fence as usual. Assigning motives to the company that he has no right to.

See, this is why private health insurance is utterly pointless in Ireland.

The facilities just don't exist outside of the public health system. That's why it stretched to breaking point.

I'd have to disagree with you 100% on this. The ladies problem didn't seem to be one that required the use of an A&E department.

A friend of mine went in there last year. He wasn't getting past reception without a bank draft or visa clearance for €20,000. Luckily he had it.

This is why a & e is full. People won't go to the GP but rush to hospital

In my experience of dealing with both the public and private health systems all i've seen as an advantage of private health insurance is skipping the queue to see a consultant.

A friend of mine who has been paying for health insurance for the past two decades recently had two incidents that required him to attend A&E. He waited out in the waiting room with everyone else and it took hours for him to be seen. The aftercare was handled at a private hospital that he visited twice for about 10 minutes total.

    Utter waste of money.
