Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You would swear that before the Normans came in 1170 Ireland was populated by millions of landowners rather than small numbers of Gaelic chieftains owning the land.

    The Killinard Hotel in Killinard!!!

I used to play with a band and it was a nightmare.

Two hotels called The Heritage within about 20kms of each other, and both addresses given as Portlaoise. The Drummer and the keys player would be in the one in town, bass player and guitarist in Killenard trying to convince the chef to play the spoons.

The man was just trying to explain to empty head Duffy about the cultural reasons why farmers are allegedly coy with their farms.
Duffy tried to make him out as a sexist.

Was a bit over the place, but more historically accurate than most of the revisionist/British apologist "historians" on rte. :)

How/why do farmers live in the countryside at all, they hate anything green - trees, hedges and then there's Badgers, Foxes, Birds of Prey and Deer to contend with.
