Question I have about this free travel pass - with private bus companies a passenger gets on and flashes the pass, how is this recorded, i.e. how does the private bus operator get reimbursed for that journey from the Dept of social welfare or whoever?

Correct, Same as Sept 2015, when he threatened the same against a service provider who parked a bus of vulnerable adults outside a barbers, whilst driver was getting a haircut.

Sources indicate Stewarts Care sent a legal letter.

Handing out these pAsses is just a way of further subsiding a failed service but not through a direct subsidy ,it's done tacitly , even bedbound nursing home residents have valid passes which are still pAid for .
