Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dunno, but I'm really happy he called in whinging about no footpaths on a road and being forced to hitchhike home.  Look what he started! :D

Turas nua must be delighted with the way this conversation went. :)

There was clearly no inspections at all taking place by the Irish Navy when they boarded Irish vessels to see all crew had BIM safety training complete, this is a legal requirement like the safe pass for all crew members, a blind eye was shown for decades.

You see people harping on about foreigners fishing our waters. Fact is, we in Ireland have never bothered setting up a major fish processing industry.  Thats our fault and nobody to blame but ourselves.

All the whinging in the world won't fix that.

Absolutely right. Before we joined the EEC we had plenty of time to build up a major fishing industry. We never bothered our ar$es. Now we blame everything on Europe. Typical Irish, playing the victim card.
Isn't that the Irish way though. Expect others to do it for us.

I'd say Billy has got himself in a lot of trouble with DPS today.
I think he said he worked two weeks before Xmass, Did he tell the DPS about that.?
If the DPS arrange for him to go to the Co Op and be doesn't turn up they could cut him off the dole completely.

Can these muppets not just read between the lines?

It's not a recruiting agency. They can't do anything else except a CV.

It's essentially just the welfare trying to get people off the dole.

By the way, what's the problem with the odd meeting every few months if you're getting dole.

I was in my local shop yesterday. There was a new girl working there, she was from Lithuania. I asked her how she came to be working in a small village in Ireland. She said she just went around shops and pubs and asked for a job until she got one. I bet she never heard of Turas Nua.
