    Hi,

Lidl used to have great value frozen king prawns in a big bag. They no longer do them so was wondering if anyone knows any decent brands or places to get them (in a bag, not a fishmonger)?

I bought some before in the Chinese supermarket but they had each prawn encapsulated in ice which made them look big in bag but then they shrunk to nothing once defrosted.

I'm in Dublin (but don't want to make this a Dublin only post)

    Thanks

    Iceland maybe?

Their Irish website is very basic... their UK site might give you an idea of what they have:

I'm sure I've seen them in the Dublin Meat Company.

    Aldi still do them.
Look good size and a reasonable price.
I know you said in a bag (not fishmongers), but some good butchers / fishmongers will have a freezer where you can get big bags of frozen prawns.
Wrights have a shop in Fairview if you can't get up to Howth.
