In a pub with about 100 united and 10 Liverpool, that peno going in was the craic.

Ref having a shocker so far too tbh.

Can pretty mediocre all season, but I have to say he's had a cracker today.

Repeat 2nd half against City would be good now, Jurgen get the bus out

    Comfortable half for Liverpool.

    Pogba their 12th man

Was it though???? United had at least 3 or 4 really decent scoring chances.

Martial has that young lad in his pocket already. Could be a very long 90mins for him.

Martial does look as though as he is running with someone in his pocket all right

United won't be that bad again, and the only reason Pool are winning is because United have been playing badly, they've done absolutely nothing of note

And we scored...which is why were winning.

Ref is awful, Lovren yellow a complete joke

Lovren is giving pogba bit of a lesson. Pogba doesn't seem to know what to do. Nice of him to give away the pen.....And to put Liverpool's away colours in his hair, nice fella that Pogba bloke!!!

Liverpool have been ****e too though so your theory is poor at best

    Jurgen get the bus out

...and Liverpool fans cried all over the poxy internet when Mou "parked the bus" last time.

    are you illiterate?

that was my point, United mistake = Pool winning, Pool have done as little as United.

Is there any reason why grabbing a player around the neck and throwing him to the floor wouldn't be a red card for Pogba?
Even in the context of a corner with the normal hustle and bustle, you just can't do that, but they made very little of it on the coverage.

Not that he would've been a huge loss. He looked a lot classier at Anfield.

    WHat is Henry on about?

Toxic first half from united, but we've still managed to eek out a few chances. Deserved lead for Liverpool they really put in a shift. We can't be as bad as that in the second half though.

I'v a terrible feeling the Ref will gift Utd a pen or something.

It was very vicious and pogba clearly hot headed after giving away the peno, hopefully he does more stupid sh!t 2nd half.

Liverpool have been extremely poor and are 1-0 up.

I'd be of the opinion LFC can't be as poor in 2nd again.

Can pretty mediocre all season, but I have to say he's had a cracker today.

Has played every game since 19th Dec . He has played every few days in this busy schedule. So it's impressive to see the energy today.
He should be tired, very tired. He is being used like a machine of late.

I agree. Tipped Liverpool to win this and I am fairly sure that they will. Both teams have been extremely poor though. United don't have enough in the locker to trouble Liverpool. Liverpool will park the bus and go on to win this.

Pogba should be off, Firmino should have had a penalty. The ref bottling it and wait to you see what he'll do this half

He's never getting sent off for that lads.

Never said he should have per se, but it was very vicious though the look on his face doing it he knew full well what he was up to.

£89m player? What a waste of money

Money is no object for clubs like United at this stage. If he is there in 3 or 4 seasons alone, his presence will recuperate a lot of that via branding/marketing/sponsorship alone.
May as well buy the best if you have the money. Can only play 11 players at the end of the day.

If you are judging him solely as a player, (and at 23 he is a fantastic player) that is your perogative but evaluating him on the money alone is far more complicated in modern day football.

What price is value for money for him??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,954 ✭✭✭garra

How come Pogba is allowed to use his head for PaddyPower marketing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

United are using the pitch very well, huge amounts of space for Valencia to run into. Can and Wijnaldum need to start competing for the second ball better, Ibrahimovic seems to find a United player every time he has a ball launched up to him. Still impossible to call this game.

Both teams brutal so far imo. Either team step it up in the 2nd half they'll run away with it.

Utd will definitely score at some point. Whether Liverpool do or not again though remains to be seen. I can see this ending up 2-1 to one of the teams, could go either way.

TOuch of El Hadji Diouf from Pogba in the first half there. When you have a haircut like that, you can't play like that.

Here comes Rooney for the perfect narrative now. Be interesting when he plays.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Mourinho chasing a game. Klopp in a situation where the counter attack is on. Pogba in a double pivot. Trouble.

    Enjoy the second half folks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Wonder if Carrick was injured. Don't know why people think Rooney will score. Especially always average against Pool when he's in good form, let alone now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Rooney for Carrick. I thought Carrick was the saviour of this United team?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

    Risky substitution.

If Klopp has the balls to do it we could be looking at a big win for Liverpool, no midfield for United this half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,288 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Yellow card for winning the ball and not even a free kick for this
