Federer having a medical time out now.

They are playing at some speed here. 4 sets in 2 and half hours. How long was Nadal's 3 sets yesterday, 3 hours?

Bit of an advantage for Fed to be serving first in the decider.

Returning the gamesmanship that Stan brought.

Finally up to speed with the match having to do an errand earlier so had to record. Wow, bloody heart is in my mouth here. Love Stan be I'd be devastated if he doesn't get it done after winning the first two sets. 😥

Break point to Stan here now again...

No need for sarcasm - as in if Fed wins its basically 100% guaranteed Nadal will win, he owns Federer in slam finals..

    He owns Federer in general...

Very good hold from Stan to level it 2-2...

Paddy now has him slight favourite.

Of course Stan is favourite. I've no idea why Fed was ever favourite.

Past form/H2H results and the fact that Federer has been playing well this tournament. I have no real issue with him as favourite. I would have chosen Stan, but by the slimmest of margins.

Match is actually going exactly how I predicted. Stan to win in 5 because Federers physicality will deteriorate in the final set. Hope he can still do it though. Cmon Fed!

Fed has two break points now...

    Leads 4-2 now....

    Fed is 9-1 on!

Fed has the vital break ....

Stan double faults to hand Fed the break - that could be it...
    He cracked.

    What a crazy match!

    9-7 Stan to win it....

Wow. Swingy match. That injury break for Stan gave him new lease of life. Hoping Rafa can do the business 2mrw and give everyone the final we want! And the Williams sisters too. Like we'v gone back in time

And now Fed will practice some black magic or vodoo to get Dmitrov to beat Nadal ...

Just January and already one of the matches of the year. Match kept swinging momentum towards either player. Feel sorry for Stan he tightened up on that break when I felt the match was on his racquet. Federer was clutch though.

    Nice words from Roger there.

I'm so glad I was wrong. Fed, you god.

Incredible he's doing this at 35 after a good while out with injury.

Forgot to mention I'm ****ing delighted :D

5 sets and all but 50 unforced errors by Fed I see. If it's him and Nadal in the final that sort of statistic could prove costly. Especially where Nadal is likely to force you into "unforced" errors with his competitiveness and the likely length of rallies.
Haven't watched any of Dimitrov in the tournament -although he has beaten a few top 10 recently so is in form. He has always been a bit mentally fragile - Nadal will test that.

I just bet the (admittedly small) contents of my PaddyPower account on Nadal to win the tournament so it can ease the pain of Federer getting beat on Sunday.

    She's already there.

    Should Serena make the final!

Haha, I did the same, but got on board when Rafa was 7/2. You won't get much value now.

    Apologies, I stand corrected.

I was about to be snarky too!

    What odds you get ?

Not great odds. I had €8 in there and stand to get €19 back, as much as I love Federer he has a terrible record against Nadal. But I guess it's a good while since these players were competing against each other at this level so who knows???

    Dimitrov to win now so.
