Delighted to see Kylemore Lough skip the Ascot Chase on Saturday, not sure what option he'll take up at Chelenham but would really interest me, comfortably bet Outlander at Fairyhouse last year and has ran decent enough races this year, rated about 155 i think he's a lot better than that mark and will go close wherever he goes be it graded race (Ryanair) or a handicap

He's probably caught between a rock and a hard place, too high for a handicap and not good enough for a graded race.

Ballynagour carried top weight and ran off 157 last year in the Byrne Group, still think Kylemore is potentially ahead of his mark, hoping the handicapper drops him a couple for his run behind Many Clouds last day

What I meant though was too high to be competitive, the example you give is further proof of this.

Not sure if it's mentioned here already but Presenting Percy was a big eye catcher on his last run for the Pertemps

Backed him before the race yesterday at 12/1 nrnb. He's shortened a good bit now but will that win not guarantee him a lot more weight? Good to see him in such good form I suppose.

When are the handicap fields getting chopped down? Impossible to cipher thru the form with 100+ entries.

    Good stuff:cool:

You just know Nichols is keeping something back with Ibis Du Rheu. Done it last year with him. 25/1 for the Ultima.

Ivanovich Gorbatov on a rating of 148.

Has anyone looked at Arctic Fire for the county hurdle? Horse was second in this race three years ago, but then subsequently went onto better things, running the likes of Hurricane Fly and Faugheen reasonably close on occasion. If it decides to take up its entry to the county, it will be a step down in class, but also means it'll be carrying top weight. 20/1 a nice price based on graded form, but horses carrying top weight in this race have a really crappy record.

Patrick Mullins played down Arctic Fires chances on the Racing Post podcast during the week.

I see Presenting Percy's owners are not happy with the mark it got. I don't like Phil Smith but seriously what did they expect winning a decent handicap hurdle practically on the bridle.

What where they doing running the horse in Fairyhouse in the first place. Was going to get into the race anyways. He was a stone cold cert.

A place in Fairyhouse would have sufficed to keep the weight down

Given the way he traveled into the race he would have been banned if placed that day

Squouateur was there for everyone to see. Look at the horses pedigree, bred for this trip.

Hope he gets in, I'm heavily invested at decent prices

Still 50+ runners in the handicaps absolute joke. No time whatsoever tomorrow to have a good luck at any well handicapped horses.
