Honestly this couldn't be any more straightforward. OP's ex cheated, therefore lied and cannot be trusted. Even if she claims she used protection and is clean as a whistle, she still has 0% credibility right now. And multiple sexual partners = higher chance of contracting an std. Especially when it's risky sexual behaviour such as cheating.

you do realize stis arent a cumulative thing right? its not that you have sex with x amount of people and one spontaneously appears. You can get one on your first or your 100th time. Sorry if it triggered you but the suggestion for the OP to get tested when the girl he was with went outside the relationship with another partner is completely valid and sound advice.

The most basic advice any friend, healthcare professional or anonymous message board will give you when you've been cheated on is to be tested. Seriously, google it. Regardless, I fail to see how being safe and getting tested after discovering your partner has been sleeping with an ex is a bad idea. They lied about the relationship.. who knows what else they lied about.
