Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rumor: If Nintendo's E3 Booth Doesn't Revolve Around Super Smash Bros. and/or Pokemon, I'm eating my own toe.

I'm glad I didn't post the only other rumour to have ever existed regarding these games.

Dang, those are two franchises I have no interest in whatsoever.

Should Pokemon on the Switch turn out to be built with the Xenoblade/BotW engine I may give it a shot, but otherwise it's wasted on the likes of me, though it will sell millions of consoles.
Smash seems like an update of the WiiU/3DS title, both of which I have and have never played, same as the other games in that franchise I own.

    Come on Ninty!

€55 for South Park seems a bit steep... Can get it in Russia for €47 but for 8 euro difference I'd prefer the physical. Not sure I really want it that much :-(

Same here. Takes up a massive chunk of space.

Yeah will be waiting for this to come down a good chunk (or just pay on xbox)

Not to mention you can buy South Park: The Fractured But Whole for less than €22 physically on PS4 and XB1.

It's only been released on Switch. It's been out for 7 months on other consoles so it's had time to drop in price.

And? You can't expect a new release on your console to launch at the same price as the same game on other systems that has been available for months.

My daughter is very much looking forward to Labo tomorrow, I have to say I was impressed with it from videos. Interesting to see what you can program it to do in the extras.

Agreed, but it makes the Switch version a much less attractive offering if you own multiple systems.

I hate when people say you can get it for cheaper on X console, I only own a Switch so no, I cant get it cheaper.

I think we're in agreement here....

not really cause thats not how business works. the porting process still cost them money they need to recoup its not a simple copy and paste job. an issue i would have is say if you look for SF ultimate collection on amazon its 45 on switch and 25 on everything else launching the same day. now if this is a mis-pricing on amazon behalf then fine but that i would have a problem of. expecting a company to release a game new to the system at the discounted price its on other systems for 7 months seems a bit unrealistic.

a better example is crash nsane trilogy is discounted on the ps4 now but the switch, pc and xbone version are all pricing at the same price it launched on the ps4 months ago

How Nintendo Could Sell Nearly 38 Million Switch by March 2019

    http://variety.com/2018/gaming/opinion/nintendo-switch-plan-1202788317/

Nintendo hope to sell 20 million Switch's during the next fiscal year. I think they may need some big releases that are currently unannounced for that to happen.

Labo takes off, then Pokemon announced at E3. Easy!

Think Pokemon is gonna do gangbusters. It's a proper sequel to the handhelds rather the Gamecube interpretations of the franchise, has a huge audience already, has been proven to be a system mover in the past and the nostalgia for property was recently demonstrated with the successes of the VC re-releases and Pokemon Go. Couple that with the inevitable price-drop on the Switch and I feel there's a perfect storm brewing.

I've been fully expecting a battle royale type game to launch alongside Switch paid online service later in the year. Makes too much sense for it not to happen

Interesting to see Sony's latest financial results and the PS4 actually managed to outsell the Switch despite being in its 5th year. That's pretty impressive, even though I'm not a Sony fan.

The PlayStation 4 is still outselling every other console, including Nintendo's red-hot Switch

Well, not so surprising seeing, if you want to play Destiny 2 and don't have a PC, when you are probably going to own a PS4.
Same goes for the bulk of multi plat games on the market.
Not to mention that, outside of Nintendo, Sony have an excellent range of system exclusives.
To add, the PS4 also provides a cost effective way to play VR titles.
So, assuming you don't have a gaming PC and find the lack of new exclusives on the XB1 makes that device unappealing, there's every reason to continue to want a PS4.

you're with your "narrative " that the ps4pro also was released not long before that financial year, so while technically in it's 4/5 year that is relatively new
