Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sure there will be loads of small print with the game as well. About how fast your connection has to be and how if you're cut off or get major slow down, it's not their fault even if the servers are to blame

    Will Reverie come to switch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,026 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

There's no plans at the moment, but it's on the Vita so I don't see why not. For those who've never heard of it, it's a cross between Earthbound and Zelda. Reviews look very positive but I've read that it's ridiculously easy. Here's a trailer:

Legendary Eleven is an epic arcade football (soccer) game inspired by the golden age of football spanning the 70's to the 90's.

This is a fresh approach to the beautiful game, with fluid gameplay and unique mechanics. Develop astonishing plays and keep the possession of the ball to perform unstoppable Super Shots. Gamble with sliding tackles to steal the ball without the referee whistling for a foul. Trust in your fans to support you if you're losing, or use special trading stickers to boost the stats in your team. Legendary Eleven is all this and more, an over the top, fun and very accessible football game set during the retro World Cups that made history and inspired generations of players and fans.

Legendary Eleven is scheduled for release on PC Steam (Early Access) on May the 29th, 2018 and on Nintendo Switch on June the 8th, 2018. The game is planned for Xbox One and PS4 too but we don't have a release date for those platforms (or the final release date for PC) yet.

    Features:
    • 36 national teams to choose from.
    • 5 cups to finish in single player.
    • 32 stickers to unlock that can be used to boost your team stats
    • Arcade style football game inspired by classics from the 80s and 90s such as Super SideKicks, Nintendo World Cup, or even the early ISS Pro games
    • A morale system that varies with team and player specific items
    • Added depth in gameplay by adding wall passes, through passes, crosses, strategies and our own Super Shots
    • Local multiplayer for up to 2 players

Legendary Eleven: Epic Football will be available on PC Steam and Nintendo Switch for $9.99/€9.99/£8.99

Capcom removes white download banner from Mega Man LC 1 & 2 Switch box

It just makes the box art not look hideous, you'll still have to download the second part of the collection. This was the provisional box art.

Hi folks, I've moved the last 30 posts (about cart sizes, cart game limitations, piracy, Capcom, paid saves etc.) to the general discussion thread. This thread is for news highlights only.

Is there a physical version of Mega Man Legacy Collection available anywhere in Ireland at all? I cannot find it in any shop site.

They’ll be available in Gamestop, I don't know if it's just America or if the offer extends to Europe.

The above must be a joke, HDMI switchers have been around for years, have one that cost a fiver that works fine with the Switch and everything else I own.

Similar to the Switch branded SD cards, it's just a shameless cash grab.

Nintendo Announces Switch Bundle That Excludes The Dock

Well that didn't take long to happen in the grand scheme of things. It's only in Japan so far but everything happens there first and they love portables more than most.

I think it's only a saving of $50 or something small like that isn't it?

I think I called this one ages ago.
And it's the last point of the transition from 3DS to Switch as the Nintendo portable.

Ya, but I remember a lot of people around the net saying this wouldn't happen because it would remove what makes the Switch unique and gives it its name. They can call it the 1PS(1 Portable Screen). Absolutely, it's the 3DS replacement, little by little the mask is slipping. Next up, themes announced at E3.

Personally even though I own a switch. I wish Nintendo would redesign & create another dock. Don't trust 3rd party ones & I find the launch one a bit cheap & clunky.

It saves $55, but the parts that they removed cost over double that to buy separately; the dock, HDMI cable, Joy-Con grip, and AC adapter.

April 2018 Switch Sales: 9.5 Out Of Top 10 Are Nintendo Franchises

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2018/05/23/april-2018-switch-sales-9-5-out-of-top-10-are-nintendo-franchises/

Interesting read. But I was also looking at other NPD sales charts, Nintendo have 2 games in the best sellers of the last 12 months chart(SMO & MK8D) and 1 game in the year to date best sellers chart(MK8D). Then when you look at the rest of the games in those charts, apart from NBA 2K18, none of the other games are on Switch, e.g. COD, GTA, Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, Monster Hunter World, PUBG, Destiny, Star Wars, etc.

Excluding digital games must make a massive difference though, that must be 75% of titles purchased on the switch

They didn't release another console pack with no charger did they?

The Switch without the dock is aimed at families who already have 1 Switch with dock in the house. In fairness it's also handy for anyone who know they will only play in handheld.

Just gimme a Switch on its own. I've got joycons coming out of my ears here.

You'd still need an AC adapter, that's another €30-35, and most of the paltry saving wiped out.

A lot people will have an adapter from their phone, tablet or laptop already that will charge the switch. Makes sense leaving it out. I expected them to do this, but I was expecting it to be be closer to $100 cheaper instead of $50.
