SONG OF MEMORIES NINTENDO SWITCH VERSION CANCELLED, NOW ONLY COMING TO PS4
HERE IS THE OFFICAL STATEMENT FROM PQUBE:

"While the PlayStation 4 version and the special Encore Edition are confirmed, we regrettably had to cancel the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Unfortunately, Song of Memories can’t be brought to a functioning level of quality our fans demand on the Switch due to development complications."

Interesting to see that the Switch effect is still very much alive when it comes to good games.

Monster Boy sales ratio on Switch is 8:1 vs. everything else

Isn't Song of Memories a visual novel? They've got to have some pretty poor developers working there if they can't get that up and running on a Switch.

I say it is a size issue, the game is nearly 30GB on Steam and has about 40 hours of voice acting in it.

I think it's more a problem with censorship I think. I was reading yesterday that the Switch version was delayed because of this.

Actually, never mind, that was probably just a general comment. It may not be worth the hassle for them.

And you know, we hear these stories like Monster Boy selling great, and a few other Indie titles. But in general, I'm not seeing 3rd party games selling well on Switch. The latest Japanese sales were released today, and of the new games, Diablo 3 had a poor debut, it couldn't even reach 10,000 copies sold. When you compare that to SSBU selling over a quarter of a million this week and it's been out a month. Go Vacation didn't sell well either, 13,000. That's usually how things go in Japan. Nintendo have all these million sellers on Switch but there's very few 3rd party games that have done likewise. You can probably count them on one hand; Octopath Traveler, FIFA 18(though a massive proportion of sales came when it was heavily discounted), Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, maybe 1 or 2 others. Minecraft you'd imagine how sold a million. Anyway, their sales absolutely pale in comparison to Nintendo's list of games.

That has always been the way with Nintendo consoles after the SNES, 3rd party sales have always been the bridesmaid, never the bride.
But then they depend on the overall user base to make that still a profitable proposition.

The SNES and NES were probably the only home Nintendo consoles that enjoyed massive 3rd party software success, which transferred across to the nascent Playstation series of consoles.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe on Switch: A Basic Port or Something Better?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOYRk5U8CVs

I'm going through this video myself at the minute, they're wrong I think within the first minute, the Switch version doesn't have the Boost Mode challenges as the Switch isn't dual screen. The file size here is tiny, on Wii U, both NSMBU and NSLU were 13GB, on Switch it's 2.5GB, explanation given is lack of duplication of assets in NSLU on Switch, but still it's impressive. 1080p on Switch docked, versus 720p on Wii U, which you'd expect, and isn't really work, just better hardware allowing improved spec.

War Tech Fighters - Coming Soon!
War Tech Fighters is a space shooter action game featuring giant robots fighting in space. It combines the spectacular action of Japanese anime robots with a more western style of blockbuster
    movies like Pacific Rim.

It has a very "arcade" design without the complex control schemes of simulation games, letting the player plunge into action from the very first mission.

The ability to customize every part of the robot allows a huge number of combinations, giving the player control of aesthetics and performance.

Coming soon to Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

This looks interesting. I don't know how it'll hold up on Switch though, especially in handheld mode.

That's kind of the point. The one strike and you die dynamic gives it a certain type of tension

One Strike is out a good while now. Bought it for €1 when on sale.

It's excellent. Nothing randomised about it.

There is a new game out this week called Caveblazers, which looks like my kind of game. It's a bit like Risk of Rain crossed with Spelunky. However every single switch review/impressions video on YouTube seems to be sponsored by Caveblazers. They must have spent a fortune on sponsored content. Kinda shady to be honest. I'll look out for some unsponsored unbiased reviews now that the game is out (it's on sale until next Thursday).

    PC trailer...
