    Windscape - Release Date Trailer
In Windscape you play as a young girl living on your parents’ farm, set in a lovely world made up of floating islands in the sky. As you discover the world you learn that something has gone terribly wrong - islands are breaking apart and falling from the sky! It’s up to you to discover the evil that is threatening the universe of Windscape.

As you travel the world(s) you will gather valuable resources allowing you to craft a plethora of items such as weapons, shields, potions, magical spells and much more. Some items will be just for fun while others are a necessity for your survival!

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=GwWQ2TP8Ju8
As a huge fan of “The Legend of Zelda”, “Secret of Mana” and “Golden Axe Warrior”, the German game developer Dennis Witte has always wanted to create his own game which contained elements of all of them. In 2016 his dream started taking shape with the help of Headup, when his “Herzensprojekt” Windscape was released into Early Access on Steam.

The result was a first person exploration adventure with elements of modern crafting and sandbox games, where you explore a beautifully handcrafted fantasy world, fight monsters, interact with NPCs, solve quests and puzzles.

Now, almost three years later, Dennis’ hard work and passion as well as the extremely helpful feedback from the community (Thank you!) has led us here: Windscape is leaving Early Access on 27th March and will also be released on Nintendo Switch™ and Xbox One.

Nintendo Switch™ players can enjoy a 20% discount on pre-purchase starting 8th March, while Xbox One users can buy the game for 20% off from 13th March in the Microsoft Store. For PC players, the game is already available as Early Access version, also with 20% off until release.

Nintendo Switch Firmware 7.0.0 Goes Live, Hacked In 4 Hours

    https://segmentnext.com/2019/01/29/nintendo-switch-firmware-hacked/

    https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchHaxing/comments/akv6nc/system_version_700_has_been_cracked/

    Well that didn't take long.
...The reason why this is so interesting is the fact that Nintendo included new security codes with Switch Firmware 7.0.0.

The inclusion of new security codes caused the hacking community to go on a high-alert. However, with the Nintendo Switch firmware hacked in a matter of hours, I wonder if that was even necessary.

Hacker “elmirorac” was the one to hack the Nintendo Switch Firmware in just a matter of hours. Also, this is an alarming situation for Nintendo itself.

With hackers circumventing Nintendo’s security in just 4 hours, puts a lot of Switch users at risk. Not to mention this will further promote piracy and will be a pain on the neck for video game developers themselves....

I played it on the Vita when it came out and enjoyed it for what it was ..I recently hacked my PSTV to allow me play it as it wasnt originally compatible and youre right in that it hasnt aged too well nor does it scale too well on a 43" TV.

    Another lazy port.

I do think it was remastered a bit for a PS4 release, so I assume it will be a bit more suited, but it was very much one of those games where I only played it because it was a full Assassins Creed on a portable console, with some minor compromises. As a game, it was a bit dull.

FARM TOGETHER ARRIVES ON NINTENDO SWITCH FEBRUARY 1
Milkstone Studios has announced that their cooperative farming game Farm Together will be released on Nintendo Switch on February 1, 2019. It will be available digitally via the Nintendo eShop for $19,99.

    ABOUT THE GAME

From the creators of Avatar Farm comes Farm Together, the ultimate farming experience. Start from scratch, with a small plot, and end with a huge farm that extends further than the eye can see.

    GROW YOUR FARM

Grow crops, plant trees, take care of the animals, and much more! Spend your hard-earned money in new buildings and facilities for your farm. Earn experience to unlock hundreds of new items.
Hop onto your tractor and speed up the tasks, but watch out or you’ll run out of gas.

    CHILL OUT

Stay for as long as you want! In Farm Together time advances even if you’re not online, so you can be sure you’ll have something to do when you come back later.

Manage your farm all by yourself, allow entrance only to your friends, or open it to the public and start cultivating together! A simple permission system allows you to limit what strangers can do, so they can help with it without risks of vandalizing.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR FARM AND YOUR LOOKS

You’ll have plenty of customization items at your disposal: Fences, roads, buildings, decorations… Show your gardening and decoration skills to your neighbours.

And don’t forget about your clothes! Customize your avatar and your tractor to your liking, and go visit your friends’ farms.

    TAKE YOUR PET ANYWHERE

Are you a cat person or a dog person? No problem, we got you covered. Your loyal friend will always be there to show you some love! Customize its looks however you like and have fun with it.

    BUILD YOUR OWN HOUSE

Want a change of pace? No problem. Just enter your house and relax. Decorate the house interior however you like, and spend some time cooking some recipes, painting, or even composing music.

WARHAMMER AGE OF SIGMAR: CHAMPIONS HEADING TO SWITCH IN Q1 2019, SUPPORTS CROSS PLAY
PlayFusion and Games Workshop have forged an alliance to bring the hugely successful trading card game; Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions to both Nintendo Switch and Steam PC/Mac. With the rampant success of the physical and digital game, with 20,000,000 physical cards sold and over 1,000,000 digital matches played, the Mortal Realms are teeming with Champions to challenge.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is a modern collectible card game that presents a connect play experience; by blending physical and digital card collections, players can scan physical cards into your collection to claim them and take them to conquer the battlefield.

Take the custom crafted decks from one of the four Grand Alliances and challenge friend or foe across the world, and across platforms! Pick up a Nintendo Switch, grab a mouse and take battle-ready decks and battle opponents on all playable devices.

“The team are utterly thrilled with the opportunity to bring Warhammer Champions to new audiences and new platforms,” said Mark Gerhard, CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion. “The response for the physical and digital game has already been incredible, and we just can’t wait to watch that grow to new heights. With the release of our Set 2 cards in Onslaught, and a whole heap of new features we have planned, there’s always going to be something new to try. And now, there will be a much bigger community to try with!”

New owners will be able to temper their skills in the fires of war immediately, and with new content and cards being added regularly, the time to enter the crucible of Warhammer Champions is now. Learn the crafts of war in the robust tutorial, then be ready to test skills against AI or other players in Casual mode, AI challenges, and full narrative campaigns. For the truest test, take on the challenge of Ranked matches for huge rewards and to reach the highest rank possible each season!

The banners of war will be raised when Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions comes to Steam in February and Nintendo Switch later in Q1. To prepare, players can begin harnessing the forces of the four Grand Alliances right now on their mobile phones and tablets. Be sure to visit www.warhammerchampions.com to learn more.

With the announcement that Metroid Prime 4 has been delayed I just want to highlight that it won't be the only game from Nintendo to get a delay.

Remember this is just a rumour.

Last we heard it's down for a Spring 2019 release. They really should be showing it off soon if that's still the case. We've seen very little thus far. There's 4 months left at most.

That's what i thought. Strange there's no update.
No sign of a special edition preorder? Love my fire emblem stuff.

THQ Nordic have taken down the trailer as it wasn't supposed to be announced just yet.

But a couple of sites grabbed it before it was taken down.

Is it like a side scrolling tower defense game?

Darksiders 1 (Remastered in HD) plus all DLC I think.
I'm sure Darksiders 2 (Deathinitive Edition) isn't too far behind. That was on Wii U.

Have you played Advance Wars on GBA? Similar kind of style. Opponents start on opposite sides of map and try to beat each other with a variety of units. Look at a review video on YouTube.

Nice. I just started replaying Darksiders on PS4 but I'll wait and grab it on Switch instead.

Still think it's the best non-Zelda Zelda game, after Alundra.

I'll wait for a price drop. Would pay €30 for 1 and 2 but just for the first one on it's own, I'll hang on. I already own it on three other platforms anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,324 ✭✭✭chrislad

It's very good, but I've already finished it on Xbox 360, and PS4. The second one, I could never get into, so I may be interested if that's released. The price though. Ouch.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition has been on sale loads of times on the Wii U eShop for about €3. Bought it physically at launch on Wii U for less than €20 delivered.

12 million Smash games sold? In just over a month? That's actually insane

New Nintendo Switch Online Is Being Planned; Smaller Version of The Console Also Being Planned

    https://wccftech.com/new-nintendo-switch-online/

    https://r.nikkei.com/article/DGXMZO4075094031012019TJ1000

Read this earlier but wasn't sure if I should post it or not. More and more sites are reporting it now. Nikkei are fairly reliable, not a fan of this design. There seems to be a new rumour every second day about a Switch redesign.

"Nintendo is planning a new Nintendo Switch Online service aimed at game enthusiasts who are willing to pay more."

They'll need to add a hell of a lot of value to charge more. It's a pretty bare bones service at the moment.
(And no, adding dedicated servers for online games like Smash isn't value)

If true, it will probably mean SNES will be held back until the revamp.
