That makes sense if there wasn't Bayonetta 3 & Astral Chain both in development at Platinum Games atm.

Scalebound was definitely one that people would guess because of the wording of the hint of it being 'very publically cancelled' but I don't think a lot realistically believed it with it tied (or had been) to Microsoft. The abandoned trademark seems new information and would give the rumour more believability. Scalebound was also Kamiya's dream project apparently so I could see it being something he wouldn't let go of either. The early footage of it had good and bad receptions but if the story is true it would be a hell of a get from Nintendo.

Astral Chain is only 8 months away from releasing so that doesn't have long to go and is probably close to finishing so Platinum could make it work but as a rumour it still has a lot of things happening why it may not be true.

Platinum Games are a massive company, they've almost 250 employees, with numerous games on the go at any one time. Plus Nintendo could help out. Nintendo stepped in before with them and made Bayonetta 2 a reality. Plus, Scalebound was Kamiya's pet project, you never know. This could be a Microsoft IP but Nintendo owning the publishing rights, like with Bayonetta and SEGA.

Fate/EXTELLA LINK launches onto the Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, on the 22nd March 2019 within Europe and Australia.

Picking up where the story ended in Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, Fate/EXTELLA LINK expands the roster of playable Servants with 10 new legendary heroes added to the original selection of 16.

These new Servants hail from other entries in the Fate series and include the likes of Astolfo, Scàthach, and Francis Drake. The high-speed action gameplay of Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star continues with improved visuals and new battle mechanics in both single-player and an added multiplayer mode supporting 4-on-4 online battles.
