Rotterdam, The Netherlands - April 29, 2020 - Adam’s Venture: Origins will come with a digital edition to Nintendo SwitchTM on May 29, 2020. The physical release is postponed to a later date due to the current global developments related to COVID-19. The adventure game, which is set in the roaring 20’s, revolves around an adventurous journey and a series of mysteries and puzzles that need to be solved. Adam’s Venture: Origins has previously seen its release on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Steam®. A brand new trailer has been released to accompany the news.

    An adventurous spirit

Adam’s Venture: Origins takes the player on a journey through the eyes of Adam, a young man with a truly adventurous spirit. About Adam’s Venture: Origins:

Start your adventure in Adam’s Venture: Origins. Set in the roaring 20’s, you play as explorer Adam Venture and go on a journey to unravel the secret of Eden. Together with your companion Evelyn, you explore ancient ruins and solve ingenious puzzles to find mysterious locales. As you travel to unique locations, you’re opposed by the evil Clairvaux company, who’s intentions for exploring artifacts could unleash chaos around the world.

    Features

    - Delve into ancient ruins and recover mysterious artifacts
    - Try to solve clever and creative puzzles on your journey
    - Traverse long forgotten tombs and crumbling cities using the grappling hook

IGN gave it 7 out of 10, docking it points for "not being modern". I would have docked it points if it WAS modern.

It's getting loads of great reviews.

Oh I know, I'm delighted. This will be an instant buy for me. Just pointing out the ridiculousness of the IGN review. I very nearly purchased the physical version with Limited Run Games but heard bad things about their customer service so gonna go digital.

I don't think it's ridiculous and they're far from the only site to mention it. It depends what perspective you're coming from. If you want pure old-school, then you're laughing. The IGN review isn't the one I'd be critical of. I've no time for Limited Run Games either.

THE WONDERFUL 101: REMASTERED AVAILABLE TO PRELOAD

    https://japanesenintendo.com/2020/04/29/the-wonderful-101-remastered-available-to-preload/

It's available to preload in Japan at least, additional languages in Europe may make it bigger here. It's 7.6GB for Switch. On Wii U it was a little over 10GB.

Thankfully im just looking for pure old school :)
I've never purchased from Limited Run. Is it just the customer service that you have issues with too or is there something else I haven't heard?

Port Royale 4 - Beta Trailer (US)

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=7kfF9LLQEPo
Port Royale 4 sets sail on maiden voyage with first gameplay trailer: Pre-purchase, Closed Beta and Release Date Announced:

Port Royale 4 will launch for Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on September 25th 2020. However, starting today, the closed PC beta for Port Royale 4 is available now upon pre-purchase exclusively in the Kalypso Store.

Port Royale 4 is available for pre-purchase on the Kalypso Store in two variants: a Standard Edition, which includes the base game on release and full access to the closed beta, and an Extended Edition, which adds a digital soundtrack and exclusive in-game bonus content.

    About Port Royale 4:

Set sail and join the colonial powers of Spain, England, France and the Netherlands in their fight for supremacy of the Caribbean in the 17th century. In Port Royale 4 you will take control of a colony as a young and ambitious governor, eager to learn what it takes to manage and grow their small settlement into a bustling trader city.

Develop production chains connecting multiple islands and create complex trade routes across the Caribbean, covering the ever-growing needs of the respective cities. Make use of the detailed sea map to avoid stormy weather regions, cliffs or shallow waters. Fulfill tasks for your nation’s viceroy, earning more fame to unlock town buildings, ships and more. Conquer the cities of rival nations or hunt down their fleets with a letter of marque while also keeping a keen eye out for pirates and other privateers.

For the first time in the series, naval battles in Port Royale 4 will be turn-based, with up to 8 ships battling at one time and tactical captain maneuvers that can turn the tide in even the most hopeless of situations for a glorious victory.

I really want Streets of Rage 4 and Switch would be my preferred platform but I have also got XBox with Game Pass, and apparently it's releasing on that on some regions today also.......
I'm still really tempted to get it on Switch as that's what I play by far the most

I'm in the same boat. Have it downloaded on Xbox already but to be honest I'll probably never play it there. So I'm probably gonna shell out the €22.50 for the Switch version. My mates will have it on Switch too so that's an added bonus for online.

To add to this, I just got an email from them.

Digital Codes are starting to be sent from May 7th.

Physical Copies and rewards are delayed until June due to Covid-19 - the general retail release was pushed back to end of June for the US, and early July for EU. They said there is a chance that backers may not get their copies until after general release too, depending on the distribution networks.

But we get a free steam code to use while we wait...

I have this for PS4. Absolutely love it. So relaxing and has that Trials feeling where you're always trying to break your top speeds at checkpoints. But it never feels difficult, just that you're doing it incorrectly. The amount of different routes for trails is brilliant and so tempting to try.

    Can't recommend it enough.

Roguelike FPS Void Bast*rds came out yesterday; played with it on the PC, has a dark and quite British sense of humour :

One Of The Worst Asset Flips Of All Time Is Now A Nintendo Switch Game

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=oFQjO9ToY1c

This is almost funny(I did laugh), infuriating and a bit worrying.

It's Jim Sterling, so expect a tonne of foul language in the video.

*shudde* Asset flips are so dishonest, and went a long way to making Steam the purveyor of shovelware it kinda became (not that the e-store is that much better at times)

Doctor Who game heading to Switch in 2021

    https://nintendowire.com/news/2020/05/11/doctor-who-game-heading-to-switch-in-2021/

There isn't really a whole lot of information on the game other than the headline.

I've heard the VR game was actually pretty decent. Would love to see a proper, decent Who game; RPG, puzzle adventure or something vaguely open world maybe.

Has there ever been a good Doctor Who game? I remember the cheap looking 2D platformer a while back.

What The Golf is out next week. The Switch version includes a 2 player party mode and there is a 25% early birdie discount (€15)

I've heard great things about this game.
