Nobody has a definitive answer on why there are differences in the cartridges but it would seem that the black cartridges are 16GB, while the green cartridges are 8GB or less and appear to have a PCB. I'd love to see the back of the Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 cartridge to see if that looks different again, it's the only 32GB produced cartridge to date.

It could be a tentative date, but Amazon UK believes Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will be launching on April 3 – at least physically.

Atooi are bringing Soccer Slammers to the Nintendo Switch.

We have a new previously unannounced game that will be coming out in time for the World Cup! WHAT!? I know, right!! It is a fun side project that we've been kicking around for a while now (pun intended). It's an arcade soccer game, called Soccer Slammers. Taking inspiration from NBA Jam, Soccer Slammers is a 2-on-2 arcade soccer experience focused on fast, fun gameplay for Nintendo Switch.

We'll be bringing Soccer Slammers to GDC to show it off to anyone who's interested.

It will never get a western release, no Hototogisu games has, Granzella have yet to release a game outside of Japan as well, although I would love to see Zettai Zetsumei getting a release here.

In ten years the Wii sold 100 million units, in it's first calendar year it shifted 20 million units.
It's a pretty good sign, given the nature of the Wii and it's demo of non-gamers while the Switch appears to be connecting more with those who already are into videogames, as well as the now traditional Nintendo youth market.
Assuming that the quality of the software can somehow maintain the momentum of excellence seen with BotW and Odyssey, and I would not be too sure of that, it could be as big as the Wii, though one would hope in turn that the software content will be less concerned with minigame compilations and have a better hardware to software ratio.

Outselling the Wii U in ten months is quite the turnaround. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 surely the first time the series has hit 1 million? 1 million in about a month is great for the series.

really good news about the Switch sales. I've put about 200 hours into mine since Christmas Eve and absolutely loving it.

I don't think 2018 will reach the heights of 2017 in terms of AAA games releases but there are a few things I'd love to have announced or playable before Christmas 2018. This is my dreamlist, probably most of this won't happen.


I would really like a Metroid Prime Trilogy physical release for the Switch, Autumn 2017, it would make a lot of sense, especially with MP4 sometime 2019.

I would love to see a resurrection of some Nintendo licenses such as F-Zero and Pilot Wings for the Switch.

Hopefully Nintendo will be at E3 and will have some huge announcements such as:

New Pokemon game for the switch.
New Super Smash Bros for the switch.
Mario Maker Wii U Port.

Some of my wishlist E3 third party announcements such as

Red Dead Redemption 1 for the Switch
Fallout 3 and New Vegas for the Switch
Final Fantasy 10 and 12 for the Switch
Vanquish for the Switch

The icing on the cake for me would be an announcement at this years Blizzcon for:

Overwatch and Heartstone for the Switch.

I think the Wii and Wii U Zeldas and Marios will make it to the switch but not announced till 2019 as they will want everyone to experience Zelda:BOTW and Mario Oddessy for this year.

I think my wish of Blizzard games and Red Dead Redemption will probably never happen, but it's nice to dream!.

^^^ I think some select Blizzard games could happen, Diablo 3 and Heartstone maybe. But Red Dead Redemption is apparently a mess in the code department and likely won't see a re-release on anything, according to the internet that is.

I hope your right about Diablo 3 and Heartstone. I think Overwatch is possible on the switch, probably 720p both docked and undocked with a slight reduction in graphics settings compared to base ps4 and xbox1 settings.

Communication is vital in Overwatch (it's a pain trying to get people to group up without voice chat) so Nintendo would really need to improve the party/game chat feature.
