Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wonder how that would play with the remote controller though.. wonder would you need a normal controller to get the most out of the game

Wonder if the Wolfenstein dates seen in GameStop might be validated?

For some reason I can't look at that image without thinking of poor President SKroob and his matter transporter accident.

I think it's been ported to toasters and microwaves at this stage.

Any chance we can have the original Flashback?

WWE 2K18 and NBA 2K18 No Longer Take Screenshots on Switch Due to "New Nintendo Policy"

To be fair, Sony doesn't allow that in certain games either. Persona 5 is very odd in the taking of screenshots.

I'm getting it for free anyway, due to the NBA Playgrounds fiasco. It looks fairly crap anyway.

The Switch tax is annoying but that's the price we have to pay for physical I suppose. At least with cartridges the games play direct without any further installation. That always felt weird with the PS4.

If it's anything like the originals it should be called "Sh1t Fu"

Do I care about playing n the go? No. Do I care about this game? No. A 33% price increase on a $30 game is substantial. I searched for information on its file size but it's not available yet.

The price of cartridges is a big deal. Capcom have annoyed the **** out of me. It's not just the cartridge issue, it's more than that, like how they still haven't announced a new game. The Direct came and went, what did they announce? Another port in the guise of Okami HD. Digital only again in Europe. That's Resident Evil Collection, the upcomng Mega Man Collection and now Okami, borked. No Monster Hunter World on Switch and won't even localise MHXX.

Sure Nintendo are at the same thing. Too stingy to release both Bayonettta 1&2 physically in Europe. Releasing port after port. There wasn't a single new Switch game announced in the latest Direct. More Wii U ports. Add Captain Toad now to Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze as upcoming Wii U rereleases. Not to mention all those that have already released and to say nothing of 3rd parties and Indies all doing the same.

There's lots more that could be pointed out like how 85% of the games on the Switch are Indies or that only about 1 in 4 games on Switch get a physical release. But it's doing well, so who cares? I could discuss Smash Bros., maybe another time.

    Go on. Discuss Smash Bros.

I'm not being sarcastic I actually am interested in what you have to say about it.

Is it the great irony that of all the WiiU cames they could have ported, that's the one that WiiU owners would have benefitted the most from seeing ported as a GotY edition due to the cost of the dlc for the original? And it's the one game where it looks like they're going to go with a new revision (albeit it will be more of the same, and with day one hideously expensive DLC inevitable)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

In fairness, it's been 2 years since the last DLC was released for it. I'm not sure how long 'Wii U owners' should be catered for regarding things like that, especially DLC that is quite specific to someone's likes to actually purchase and can still use it for however long you want. The game was released nearly 4 years ago, either would have been fine really but a revision is probably needed and it's a nice surprise that there seems to be actually one considering what Sakurai has said previously.

    What?

I'm suggesting a Switch rerelease that included the DLC - like Mariokart or Skyrim - would represent a good value proposition for double dipping, far moreso than most of the WiiU ports we *did* get.

I'm not for one second suggesting that any Smash announcement should be for WiiU. I have my issues, but I'm not completely insane. Yet. Another Saturday-before-mothers-day like that and I may well flip though.

Oh I know, I wasn't saying that at all. I just mean that I don't see anything wrong with a new Smash on Switch. A rerelease wouldn't be too bad either but the previous Smash had a decent run and for a new, selling system it's a good time for a new title in the franchise. Already looking forward to characters rumours etc that only Smash brings.

‘Outlast’ 1 & 2 – Nintendo Switch Ports Only Took A Few Weeks To Develop

    http://nintendoenthusiast.com/blog/2018/03/11/outlast-1-2-nintendo-switch-ports-only-took-a-few-weeks-to-develop/

    https://www.linkedin.com/in/matbleubleu/

That's one of the reasons we've seen so many ports on the Switch, it's an absolute doddle to work on.
