THREE Coverage for Grovine East in Kilkenny

    Hi lads,

after a useless session with the 3 chat support, I am trying to find out exactly what mast is providing coverage to the Grovine East area, near Wallslough Village in county KK.

I need to know where the mast providing 4G is located, as I need to plan where to point the directional antenna.

All the masts closeby seem to by down for "upgrading", which in 3 terms means "they just do not work, if eventually we bring them back up, service will be worse".

I will try again with OpenSignal, but one thing is the phone and another one is the router (B593s22), they seem to use different band.

As well, how can I tell if the area of Grovine East is covered by 4G PLUS CAT6 ?

Unfortunately I cannot access the router's modem SSH AT commands hence I cannot tell the code of the mast it is using.

    1. Make sure the phone supports b3 and b20.
1a. Ideally a qualcomm based phone
    2. Install CellMapper
    3. Enable cell mapper and do a few laps of the house. Then get in your car and drive around the townland a couple time.
    4. Wait 1hr and visit cellmapper site to see a real world coverage map.

You can only tell what's LTEA C6 by seeing the SCC come up.
