    Hi guys,
    As the title says myself and the missus are looking to build a house. We've found a site but need to get mortgage approved and work out our budget etc so a bit of work to do yet. We are both first time buyers, on relatively decent wages except she has savings and I only have a few grand.

    Just wondering if anyone has any advice who's been down this road before and if you could recommend any reading material, be it books or online I would be extremely grateful, thanks.
