Working / volunteering / interning abroad?

    Hi guys,

I'm a 28 year old student, finishing my MSc in Business and Management (specialising in HR) this May. Last year I travelled to 11 countries around Europe, and I'm eager to travel more before I hit 30. Because my MSc is distance education, I don't qualify for the J1 or USIT programmes.

Optimally, I'd either like to work or intern (in the fields of HR, management or live events work would be a huge plus) or to volunteer without incurring massive costs. I'm aware that these these are high expectations, but I've come across some volunteer funding programmes and am curious to know if anyone has experience with this. I'd happily be open to working in areas outside of my field(s) of choice as well, but would like to investigate the best-case scenario of furthering my career prospects as well as travelling/living abroad.

My working background involves sound engineering (live events context) and youth work (stemming from an undergrad in sociology).

Places I'd like to go include Canada, the United States, South America and South East Asia.

Anyone got any suggestions or experiences of working / volunteering abroad?
