Can anyone recommend foods to build up energy ? I'm so tired after work , I eat fruit during the day and a lunch , but energy starts draining around 2pm onwards

Your lack of energy is often reflective of your diet and/or sleep.

What kind of food do you eat up to and including for lunch?

    Learn to eat properly.

See how you are in a month.

Google sleep hygiene and see what you can do to improve it.

Exercise at least a little everyday.

Learn to wind down properly; yoga, reading, mindfulness, the rosary whatever works for you

Some energy snacks could be the following:

    1 banana
A couple of dates with peanut butter

Happy Pear Cookie Dough Balls (https://thehappypear.ie/recipe/vegan-cookie-dough/)
    INGREDIENTS
30g porridge oats/Gluten Free porridge oats
    a pinch of salt
    80g cashews
    80g chopped dates
    2 tablespoons of coconut oil
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons cacao nibs/dark chocolate chips

    INSTRUCTIONS
Blend the oats, salt and cashews in a food processor for a couple of minutes, until the mix resembles fine crumbs
Add the dates and blend for a further two minutes.
Melt the coconut oil and add it to the processor with the vanilla extract
    Blend again
If necessary, you can add water to help the mixture to blend together easier
Remove the mixture from the processor and put into a large mixing bowl
Add the cacao nibs/dark chocolate chips and fold together until the entire mixture makes one big cookie dough ball
Break off pieces from the finished mixture and roll into mini ballsIt is best to store these at room temperature for a few days!

Any type of home made energy balls or energy bars

1 protein shake: scoop of protein powder with almond milk

A small handful of brazil nuts/walnuts/cashews/almonds

    1 Apple and Almond Butter

Ensure you are getting enough fruit and vegetables and drinking lots of water to combat this tiredness also!
