Hi. I'm a primary school teacher and will be returning to work after maternity leave in September. I have a 55 min drive to school (twice a day) and would love to get something closer to home, especially now that I have two young children.
Ideally I'd prefer to move from the diocese I teach in to the diocese I now live in. Can you only apply for a job transfer if you are on the panel? Our numbers are good so I won't be on a panel.
Would it make any sense for me to apply for a fixed term job in the hope that it would be made permanent or that I would be put on the panel eventually? Thanks.
