Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Is Winks a CB?

Spurs could be short at the back for the next few weeks if Toby is out injured.

    Nope, centre-midfielder.

For real? It was a quality tackle. Have a look at the replay man.

Ya, seen the replay it was brilliant, I stand corrected.

In real time it looked clumsy and from behind but Marriner was well positioned and seen it, great call.

    Hes having a good game.

I thought Rose connected with Sterling's knee momentarily before the ball.

Theres goals left in this yet.

Ye should be out of sight by this stage.
Yep; we seem unable to kill sides off. If we don't win this, it'll almost be worse than the farce at Goodison. Last weekend, we got what we deserved.

Gabriel Jesus, if he gets a run out could cause huge problems in the last 10-15mins.

Although Sane and KDB have played pretty well so far in wider positions.

Surprised to see Wanyama as a makeshift CB instead of Ben Davies. Cameron Carter Vickers, a natural CB, also on the bench. Don't blame Pochettino for keeping him there though, very inexperienced for a game like this.

Now thats a penalty, you cant shove someone from behind, but Sterling should score too.

    Hes a brutal finisher.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

That was a clear push. Why wasnt that given? Jaysus...

    WHAT A PUSH
WOULD NEED TO BE STEVIE WONDER WEARING A BLINDFOLD IN A ROOM WITH NO LIGHTS TO MISS THAT PUSH.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

No penalty after a shove, Kane offside and Spurs get an equaliser.

    Poor Pep.

    That's hilarious.

I knew it. Just after a blatant penalty was denied to us as well. YCMIU.

Terrible decision. Certain penalty. When refs asks for respect and to cut out diving and then you wonder why players fall, that's why. Disgraceful.

And the Spurs goal is offside, you couldn't make it up. Same last week when City had a blatant penalty denied at 0-0.

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

**** like that is why players dive.

Completely ridiculous call from the ref there. What in the hell is he thinking?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,631 ✭✭✭Dirty Dingus McGee

What happened with the Sterling penalty incident is a prime example of why players dive and why they probably have to dive these days. You don't get anything anymore unless you hot the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

That's very very tough on City

Like the standard of reffing in this sport is actually at a crisis point, I think every argument against video reffing is invalidated by the sheer lack of decent decisions. Jesus.

Pep's spiralling into insanity the story of the season.

And yet you had a manager of another team claiming his side were the unluckiest in the PL.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 9,645 Mod ✭✭✭✭mayordenis

There was a foul on Sane also in the build up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 704 ✭✭✭frisbeeface

With Spurs' injuries Walker not getting sent off and suspended is a huge let off for future games too

Its one of the worse calls in a long time, its such a clear push too, he has to fully extend his arm to do and reach him.

then they score after Kane is offside, you couldnt make it up. :o

No one wants to see a blatant penalty not given.
Ref could have asked for help from linesmen.
