Hi I live in the South of Ireland but was hoping it might be cheaper to get a 6D in the north. I was looking out for one a couple weeks ago and jessops and argos in England had them for about £1150. That was just before Christmas. There was another £100 cashbook which put it about £1050! It's now £1500 in both. Couldn't afford it at the time and now I'm kicking myself.

Pixmania and spencermann have them cheap online but I've be warned against them. Amazon don't deliver them to Ireland. Anyone have any ideas? Know of any special offers either?

i never used addresspal before so must look into it. the price has shot up so i reckon they trying to make a few quid before they release a new model or something. i don't think i will be getting a new one anyway!

I used addresspal at christmas because some companies wont ship battery products to Northern Ireland. AddressPal has an address in the UK. I got my parcel in 3-4 days. You get a text when its ready but you have to collect from post office and you pay the post office. My parcel was €3.50 and Id say a canon 6d would be the same. When you register you get a little plastic card with your unique number in it.

yeah i was looking at the prohibited items on the addresspal website and batteries are on there so does that mean they won't ship a camera. i'm assuming the Canon 6D would still come with a battery in the box. after checking the prices in the US and the extortionate duties and tax i'd be as well getting cheap flights to the states at this stage!

This site is a sister site of Jessops apparently so is supposed to be pretty good.

Currently €1110 here. There will probably be some scare stories about these, similar to those about Pixmania and Spencermann, whatever they may say, but I know people who've bought from here and been very happy with the service. https://www.eglobalcentral.eu/canon-eos-6d-body-only-digital-slr-camera.html

I stayed away from these because of the scare stories. I looked them up on trustpilot and didn't like what I saw. I suppose there is the fact that only people who have had a bad experience would leave a review but I'm not sure. It's alot of money. I've used pixmania loads of times with no hassle. Not sure about it now though.
