Hi I'm tall , thin, possibly 'the pear or pear-like', light red-hair. I'm just wondering what sort of dress might suit me?. I know it's harder without a pic, but what sort of dress generally suits a tall (5'10) and thin figure ?

I have Zara vouchers and browsed their on-line store, but they tend to be smaller than usual and nothing 'struck me ' anyway. It's a 'Dinner-Dance'

    Thoughts appreciated anyway :)

    What about checking &Other Stories:

I like this dress from Finery but I never ordered from them:

Something like that might also work:

If you are more of a pear shape I would pick something with an open back and not something that accentuates cleavage. Bardot neckline or cold shoulder could also be nice. I think Zara has often some nice stuff but my 6ft high SIL describes them as brand for skinny people with short limbs so they might not work for you.

Thanks, I do like 'finery' :) again always hard to be sure on-line. Yes Zara is unusually small fitting, normally a 'large' is plenty big enough for me, but cannot be guaranteed with Zara.

Have an l.b.d . which will 'do' but something new would be nice :)

Wrap Dress is a good idea Sheno :) I'm 14/16, narrow shoulders, long rather than in any way broad .

How does one 'dress up' and l.b.d. ? think I'll play safe and go with that :) a wrap dress sounds good but as I don't currently own one.....

Statement shoes. Statement jewellery. Big hair.
    Not all three at once!

And a bold red lip makes any outfit instantly glam.

Asos have a tall section and carry formal wear - have you looked there?
