I was thinking of getting either a couple of hikvision IP cameras(open to suggestions on these) connected to a synology NAS or a kit like the Sannce 4 channel from Amazon. Just wondering what other folks think of either option? Or if they have any suggestions. I only need 3 cameras max.

I'd recommend hikvision turbo gear. We install loads of it and find it great.
