    They can't change during the policy and you can move to anther company at renewal.

    Correct, They cannot change during policy it can only be changed at renewal and issuing new terms and conditions. this is fundamental btw.

    That does not sound like fully comp insurance at all. I read my documents from Adelaide/Cornmarket (RSA) and it mentions nothing like this.

    Also, you have a really good case if they changed conditions on the policy and where not explicitly clear with you on it.

    Check the terms and conditions of the policy about cancelling the policy. If it is unclear, apply to the Financial Ombudsman for an investigation.
