Is there a start list for this anywhere ?

Frank O Rourke earlier, knew leaving weather was awful and still went. Should have stayed home.

Did 2 laps before I said enough was enough, savage cold and drowned wet, on we go to the next one.

The toughest 2 1/2 hours I've done on a bike. It didn't get any easier Dahat!

On reflection I'm sorry I stopped but it was horribly bad. It was a reduced bunch at the finish and who knows.

    Fare out any good yourself?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

There was 1/5 of the field out the back in the first 1/4 of lap one. I arrived late, no wallet and no pins for numbers. Kind of not arsed and just drove after the race for a bit. No heroes in lap one as far as I could see.

    Anyone got results.

Literally just outside the points but I wasn't too disappointed to be honest. After the carnage of the finish last year I was happy to be in the mix and stay upright.

It all bunched back up and split on lap two where the winner came from. I tried to bridge over but wasn't too many lads keen to do as well.
Winner was a local lad coached by Aqua blue lad from Italy so was a good win for him.

Shouldn't have bothered, looks a little lumpy.

Sure it will be grand as they say...

The lumpy ones are the safe and interesting races. Splits the field apart nicely so it doesn't finish in the usual a4 sprint.

Yeah, fair point, just have to stay in contention while negotiating the lumps!

Once it's a decent day i'll be there as lumps aren't my forte so need to get used to racing them.

Is there any racing in Leinster this Saturday? I'm usually good and tracking down this sort of info, just thought it was strange that there are two races listed for Ulster on the CI calendar and nothing for anywhere else in the country (I know the Ras is kicking off on Sunday).

Only Leinster race this weekend appears to be emyvale.

Emyvale is pre-reg only and I'm nearly positive that I read last week that A4 was full and A3 had only a few spots left. Ulster races are nearly always pre-reg.
