    Hi there,

A friend of mine recently got engaged, and has also recently moved to Gorey with her partner. I wanted to get them a gift voucher for a restaurant in Corey but I've never been there so I don't know where is good! I've looked on trip advisor but some of the top suggestions look more like cafes than restaurants. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could recommend somewhere 😊😊

You could try eco which is very popular but I don't really like the menu myself, however it is the restaurant I frequent most often because the kids like it. I find the kitchen is nice but don't go there often because my wife isn't crazy about it. Marlfield house is the posh one but for a more reasonabley priced alternative try the duck bistro which is also at marlfield but not as exclusive as the main house.
Outside gorey and I mean quite a drive away is Sha-roe which would be my favourite restaurant but one of them would most likely have to drive unless they have someone willing to collect them.

All those typed above but add in the bistro on the avenue. Really good food and quite informal.

La Piazza is a lovely Italian. Definitely my go to restaurant in Gorey these days. I find the place far more authentic feeling than some of the others about the town.

There is a new restaurant called 'the holy grail', it's only open a few weeks but always seems to be busy.

Walked past that last Thursday evening at 7.30pm and there wasn't a sinner in it. Thought that was strange, looks like a nice place though.

    Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the tips! I decided to go for a voucher for the Duck Bistro, and they were delighted with it! I'm gonna go for a visit myself soon enough so all your tips will come in handy then too :) Thanks again!!!
