    Hi guys

I've finally broken and decided to spend a few quid on some home cinema gear.
I'm looking to buy a new AV Receiver, as well as 2 surround speakers and subwoofer. I am on a tight and fairly low budget, so I'm open to advice on component choice and taking open-box gear.
Room setup is 2.7m from TV to room rear. Front speakers are B&W 702's, and I just picked up a used B&W centre as well.  Its a terraced house so not looking to crank everything to the max...I run the 702's with a Rotel RA-04 which I've never dialled past 11 o'clock.

    My ideal purchases would be;
    Denon AVRX-2300
    Cambridge Audio Minx Min22
    Cambridge Audio Minx X200

    - that lot comes to about 840, but I don't have near enough to pay for all that. My absolute max is 600. So I'm open to ideas on how to proceed...whether its hold off on a sub, different receiver, whatever. I've no qualms with open-box items either.

AV receiver - 4k-passthrough important. So is stereo music performance.  Atmos would be nice but not vital. I don't need many hdmi connections. Main uses will be PS4, Netflix, music

Rear speakers - must be small in size, I'm probably stuck with the Minx range here. Will be situated within arms reach of couch. I could go down to Minx 12 maybe?

Subwoofer - this is my lowest priority. The B&W's have good bass response, I'd only be looking to add a smidgeon more sub-bass.  I'm willing to delay buying one.

Sorry for the long mail lol...I just thought, better to be specific rather than leave you guessing. Anyways, if someone would like to make some suggestions I'd appreciate it!

    Thanks
    Neil

    Hi Neil.

I agree on the Denon AVRX2300 there is nothing better in its price band. It has been very well reviewed and won product of the year in what hifi.
    Currently priced at £399.00

The Min22 are decent for rear speakers and their compact size makes for taking up less room but still producing a good sound.
Currently £119 each / £238.00 for the pair. We currently have a 10% this sub with code (SALE10P)

Again with the X200/1 sub, this is a very compact unit which pack good bass. Currently priced at £199.00 - We currently have a 10% this sub with code (SALE10P)

I could do a little better than that and offer the above items for £750.00 delivered.

Let me know if this helps.

Any questions drop me a post.
