Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One of the most frustrating games I've watched this season. Really poor tonight, big last 10 needed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Does Pogba realise this is a competitive game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

Most expensive squad ever assembled, playing hoofball at home.....brilliant.

    Depressing isn't it lads

    Complete indifference to it now.

Is there a chance conversion % stat out there? I'd love to know where we rank in the league in terms of % of chances scored.

I could do with a break from watching United play

De gea gone in the summer and looks like zlatan will as well. Serious surgury needed on this team

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,978 ✭✭✭BenK

Wouldn't fancy United in the Europa League either, going on this type of form.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,978 ✭✭✭BenK

Everything is so static and predictable. It's a LVG-esque performance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,992 ✭✭✭paulbok

This is beyond bad. Can't cross, easily pushed off the ball, backs in each others way, what the hell.is wrong with them?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭bangkok

Fellaini up front, cross cross cross cross. Depressing stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,928 ✭✭✭dubmick

The worse thing is that Everton haven't even been that good. Any side in the premier league could have beaten us tonight.

Its beginning to get very concerning.

There is a terrible malaise across the squad.

    The great unbeaten run continues....

Even if we get a goal a draw is useless, 4th is gone. The team that started is lacking serious quality, we're relying on Fellaini, Lingard, Rashford and a finished Carrick in a must win game.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Deserved the draw. Everton got the goal and just put ten men into the box.

Exact same issues tonight as all season really. Chance after chance, but no one can get it into the back of the ****ing net. No ability to break down teams that park the bus. Not surprised. Already resigned, for weeks, that those issues won't go till summer :/

I'm going to find a rock to hide under for a few days...

Oh well least we didn't lose....

Does nothing for us. Exact same reaction to that draw as a loss.

Any interest in the league is over.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,609 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

Strange days at Old Trafford. Man U got a few decisions against them there, in recent times they used to get decisions in their favour.

Ridiculous really!!! League is over for us

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

And so continues one of the most depressing unbeaten run in the league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,006 ✭✭✭beno619

Fairly pathetic with the exception of Bailly and Herrera.

José's tactics all over the shop.

Nonsense, only 4 points off 4th.

But can't see us getting it in this form

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,690 ✭✭✭ElChe32

4th gone, squad is beyond average.

Having said that, referee tonight did us no favours.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

Made enough chances to win 3 games and played OK for the first hourish but ****e after that. Didn't even care when we hit the draw other than to stop Everton and especially that Koeman thinking they're something. Honestly they were rubbish tonight and with shooting boots we could have hammered them. Every draw this year we've had so many chances. Horrible

43 goals scored, over to you Bournemouth.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Robles was jumping out of the way of shots a few days ago

    Miserable at home this season

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

Jose should just use the league to try out a few new ideas, maybe give the likes of TFM a few matches.

Incredible how Everton can defend like that against us(albeit we were fairly impotent in front of goal) and defend like a Sunday league team against their arch rivals

Depressing stuff for us in the league. I feel we get turfed out of the Europa League the depression will be horrendous.

Still a possibility but we are never gonna get top 4 playing like that week in week out.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,557 ✭✭✭mewe

Lethargic and desperate stuff at times tonight. We'll never know if we would've pushed on and got the winner after the disallowed equaliser but overall tonight a draw is probably fair.

Sickener Williams ruining Shaws dream comeback goal.

Good showing from Shaw, plus he drilled a nice shot to win the penalty.

Please tell me one of you are at least making a small fortune off these draws.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Jesus, that was pathetic and you would think that we would be accustomed to getting to the idea that teams are going to defend deep.

Lingard needs some serious kick up the backside, the idea that this guy is paid big money and can't even cross is beyond poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,843 ✭✭✭GSPfan

I am not surprised about the result. But the inability to cross a football so that it gets over the head of the guy right in front of you, and doesn't balloon past everyone, is infuriating to me.

Easier to defend high balls coming into the box than dealing with the movement of Liverpools players.

    Our attacking is too predictable.

The only player that we had that seemed to be able to hit the target in that second half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,978 ✭✭✭BenK

I don't remember United creating chance after chance tonight at all, thought they were really poor overall. Finishing was far from the only problem.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Please get Valencia to stop tutoring Lingard.

    The guy cant cross.

So frustrating not being able to put in a cross. Its like the first thing you work on as a winger.

Thought Bailly and Rojo were excellent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,766 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

Jose really needs to get his act together. Serving up that rubbish after almost 9 months in charge.

What player has improved under Jose? Maybe it the style of play, maybe its the players. Whatever excuse, they were pathetic tonight and its not the 1st time.

There is little evidence of fight from the team something that Jose teams normally have.

The players really don't seem to know what they are doing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,064 ✭✭✭BKtje

I thought Shaw did quite well. There was definitely desire to impress from him which is positive.

Probably should have won the game but really not converting the chances.

Herrera was great as well Bailly. Lingard and rashers full of running but little end product for the most part. Disappointing draw but a good match for a neutral I guess.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

4 points dropped against Everton and I don't think we deserved a whole lot more.

Let's hope the 'unbeaten streak' will have some sort of positive effect for the Europa League run in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

We have some absolute terrible crossers of the ball on our team. With Ibra and Fellaini playing a big part nowadays, you'd think our wingers and fullbacks can get the ball over into the middle. Was always too short or too long

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,265 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

while rashford isn't scoring he should be no where near the team. he loses the ball so ofen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,774 ✭✭✭jimmytwotimes 2013

    Only three home games left.

Away to arsenal, city and spurs.

    Europa League it is.
