Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was being sarcastic seeing as Jose shot down the Sun's reports that they had a bust-up :o

Captain Fellaini dropped? Has to be due to interest from Real Madrid.

Haven't been here in a while, is Ross Barkley still the world class talent we need?
Is Valencia still useless and a cert for the door?

Not looking great for Martial tbh. Lingard seems to have replaced him in that starting line up.

Darmian on the left makes me die a little inside.

Lingard plays on the right. Replacing Mata who is injured. rashford on the left where Martial plays. Not great either way in fairness

And are you......... yep you are.

    Only himself to blame
Martial needs to get the finger out

No luke shaw? Bit of a joke gets back into the team and then back on the bench

Not really, id say lingard will be playing midfield making runs from deep

Well Jose said Darmian was ahead of him so with Val back he might need to displace Darmian which shouldn't be too hard, it's positive that he is on the bench though as usually Jose likes defenders that can play a variety of positions on the bench

Hoping for a comfortable win and a quiet match thread.

If we have one we will have the other.

Ander starts screaming on the bench and the ref gives a penalty

Rashford has had a brilliant start. Another goal from him(or anyone) would be most welcome.

Drag-back, left, right, turn around, stumble a bit, pass it sideways.

    Paul Pogba.

And what did you think of the thru ball to rashford earlier that went past 3 of their players?

It was nice but I'm far more used to seeing my description of him.

    Moan moan moan moan

    Pogba bashers...

About 4 or 5 other players have given the ball away a few times at least and been dispossessed but it's always pogba for one bit of slow play that keeps possession that is jumped on.

Edit: there you go another nice forward pass by pogba starts off the move for the goal.

Darmian on the left offers nothing. Change it for Shaw please Jose.

    Good man Mkhitaryan.

Great reactions and poaching from Mkhi. Rashford having a great game too. Zlatan doing very well in the build ups and some lovely hold up play.

    Good man Mkhitaryan.

Jose only ever has one full back getting forward.

Valencia is putting in some good low balls tonight. Crossing with his head up. Good to see.

As good a half as I've seen from Utd in a while. Delighted with that.

Funnily enough everyone is having a good game apart from Miki imo.

Heard Darmien mentioned earlier, I think he's played well that half.

A bit more clinical(story of the season) in th second half and the tie could be nearly put to bed.

Was just gonna say, I thought everyone incl Mikhi played well.

Rashers MOTM thus far, he is everywhere.

Love seeing that leadership from Zlatan. No matter how long he's with United he's already made himself a player who'll be remembered very fondly.

Learned from a young age go to the toilet miss a goal, cl game against Dortmund 96/97 iirc held on too long just into the toilet it started. That wouldn't be happening again. Longer to wash yourself and change, then going.

Was thinking after about 20 mins Mkhitaryan wouldn't make it past half time the wat he was playing and having been booked, he then almost gets Rashford in with a cute little ball through and then scores :)

Valencia and Rashford having excellent games, Pogba doing well too, food to see he's learning to control his natural desire to drift forward with every attack, needs to pick and choose.

Zlatan is playing too deep. He's way too static but he has been his whole career and still scores goals. I have hated him in the past for being like that but when you score constantly you get away with being bad at times.

He is playing more of a number 10 role with rashford making runs ahead of him I thought it was looking great first half.

Don't think it's actually supposed to be like that it's just happening because Zlatan is so far back and Rashford is taking advantage of the space. Zlatan walking around the pitch near the centre circle is not a tactical move.

It generally is if the Cbs dont follow him he gets space in between the lines to get on the ball and as one of our best passers this is good, if a cb follows him leaves space for rashers, miki etc to run into

Zlatan has played nearly a decade in the exact way, he drops deep and the runners around him makes the run.

Yeah but neither of them can seem to not run into the full back at the earliest opportunity.
