Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Infairness it could just as easily happen. Who would of thought Chelsea would of turned sour so quick second time round?

All is roses now and long may it last and I do think it will last I think we will get the best years from him I feel he is at the club now where he can cement his legacy as one of the greatest of all times but it could easily take one disagreement to sour it so hopefully we enjoy him while we have him.

I do think that at Chelsea the players are in the ears of the owner or close to the owner and that can cause problems for any manager there..

I think the players wouldn't hold even half as much weight at United.

No way. he was gone like a bag of ****e before any contact made. 100% correct.

I understand it is always given as a penalty and probably should have been but I am a firm believer that Aguero could have easily stepped over the legs therefore intentionally kicked the goalkeeper to win a penalty.

Aguero gets booked a lot for diving but he's more honest than most.

Brave call, Aguero is definitely on his way down before contact is made but I'm biased.

Ha ha ha. Loving this. Great game.

It was a dive but not a simulation that's why I said wrong call. To me he looked for contact and went down so no penalty but defender did make contact so no yellow card just my opinion.

Jaysus Monaco are great to watch. Very exciting half of football.

I must have missed a Monaco defender because Sterling looked a yard offside at least for the City goal and the ball was definitely played forward.

Is this Pep lad a busted flush?

Haha the boo's the poor city fans. I'd say it was for the ref tho.

Sterling was behind the ball when it was played so cant be offside.

No they just suffered a reverse pivot.

Ah it was. But imagine how loud those boos would be if they could fill a stadium.

Yeah just seen the replay there. Was concentrating on him being ahead of the defenðers and the ball being passed forward. Didn't look behind is own player in real time so didn't even look out for it to be honest.

Fair play to the officials. Great call.

Great to see Augero getting the card Pep was waving for. :D

Ive only just copped on that the keeper got a toe to it. On further thought that is an absolute cracking decision from the ref. No penalty and Aguero dives which should be carded.

Fox Sports totally ignoring the toe on the ball. Once that toe makes contact, everything else is fine imo.

Was no better at Chelsea... it was an awful injury to be fair, just taken a while to come back from and regain the confidence to push himself physically.

And both Chelsea and United were forcing him into their systems, whereas it looks like Monaco are more playing to his strengths.

Because he was coming back from a career threatening injury, he has had a couple of seasons now to get back to form

Ha this set of officials are deadly! Extra officials call finally

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,006 ✭✭✭beno619

Can we just sign Monaco ?

I'll settle for just thier wide players.

We dodged a seriously big bullet when we didn't go for Otamendi.

What the **** was Falcao up to there? Looked like had no confidence at all in himself when standing over it, then just a shocking attempt. If you're not feeling good about it - smash it!

    Like Berbatov against Everton. Awful.

I don't think you can blame Otamendi completely, when every single defender at City looks like crap you have to wonder why that might be.

For example look at Rojo, who looked like a pure liability until we got a proper manager in, and I think it would be the same with Otamendi if he played for a different manager. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if all of City's league winning and highly rated defenders played better under a different manager.

I've no problem with City progressing in this tournament to give them more games but its funny to continue to see them struggle defensively so much.
