I wouldnt say he has passed the test but id more thenikely say jose will build him up slowly and ease him back in. He will probably not even make the squad Thursday unless he is man of the match today.

Quandary

Shaw doesn't need to have an incredible game today in order to stay in the team. It's his first game start in months and all he needs to do is produce a solid safe performance and he can build from there.

If he has a very poor game where his work rate is poor and he doesn't look up for it then I'd be getting worried.

This is the perfect game for him to get things moving in the right direction again.

Life isn't extremes, you know, either A or B. It is far, FAR more likely that he hasn't "passed the test" but that today is a part of said test.

I also don't know how one can say "Shaw IS one of the best left backs in the league", especially when he's barely played for the last year and a half. Again, extremes. He has potential to be, but, you know, actually playing in the league would be a start towards claims he is one of the best...

In fairness, if Fosuh Mensah is a world class full back then I suppose Shaw has to be considered one as well.

Disagree. Yes it wasn't perfect but it still reached ibra on the ground and he took a heavy touch.
