How does a Mature student get started?

I am a full time worker though my hours suggest I am part time. I wish to go to college and just learned about Btea. Would I be eligible for the allowance? Or would I have to get my status at work changed from full timer to part timer and get the employer to sign off on it?

The system is quite different since I was last here 9 years ago, So I am not sure where to start from at all honestly and I fear I am late to getting into any college this year.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have to be unemployed for over 12 months to get BTEA allowance I'm afraid.

It's actually 9 months on unless it's a master's.
