Am I correct in saying that those prices are only for GLAS applicants so if you are not on the scheme you can't avail?

€100 for 100 birch? Talk about taking the piss, way too expensive.
    I'm a forester and I pay maybe €500/1000 birch.
IS there something special about these trees, some unique requirement? If not, you should club together with neighbours and bulk buy.

Was doing some research. I like the Birch.

So max 450 trees and you get .90cents per tree anually for 5 years.

So what happens after yr 5 ?

I was looking into planting a 6 acre field ( very steep, 300 metres , mountain) with Birch. Anything that I should be aware of ?
