Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's actually funny how shut we are, this is more proof of how bad our squad is,this must be the worst wk in living memory

If Liverpool stopped worrying about winning penalties they'd be far better off. He should have taken that shot early.

this is 100 % the managers fault ,picking that team.

    Nice dive there

I dont think I've ever seen a team slower to build up. Iy's like they give the defense as long as the need to get back into position.

Doesn't matter if it's a second string keeper in goal if we never actually take a shot.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Cringey dive. Must be getting lessons from Young

Weimann is going to catch Randall again on that side.

All this hype for Gomez, dunno what it was based on. He's been hopeless any time I've seen him.

Very decent player and extremely young. Only back from injury too.

Klopp has some big calls to make at half time. Could easily be 3-0 tbh

Klopp 100% to blame for this shambles

    bOO'S
Was deserved and a first for Klopp to be booed off ?

He will go insane on them at half time .

Lambert has a decent record at anfield? Remember him turning over Rodgers a few times

Are the crowd saying Boo or Boo-urns?

Deserved boos. Borderline crisis. Definitely a crisis of confidence. 1st 11 not much better.

Big game on Tuesday so worth the risk for me. It didn't pay off but that's life.

The speed of thought and action is criminally slow and it's hard to know why but it's become endemic.

Working and forgot this was an early kickoff.

    Wish I hadn't remembered now.

Make the 3 subs at half time, kick them up the hole and send them back out onto the pitch early after they've all shat the course in the jacks.

Shocking stuff. 0 efforts on target for Liverpool in that half I believe. 3 subs for the start of the 2nd half Mr Klopp if you want to show some intent here. Thank you.

    I blame Sturridge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,026 ✭✭✭duffman13

Klopps team selection getting some stick but it's the senior players like Firminio, Wiljnaldum and Origi who are the ones really not doing anything. Also that Randall lad looks useless, dunno if he is one for the future be he doesn't seem up to the level required to be honest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭limnam

Strange, I was under the impression Liverpool fans don't boo their own players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

They are not even trying to score. They are just passing the ball around trying to bump their passing stats. It's bordering match fixing.

The young players need to man-up too. These academy's put way too much emphasis on "express yourself" and "belief" and other bollox. Go out and try to create/score goals and win the damn game instead of looking nice in front of Klopp.

    MORENO JUST DIE ALREADY !

    A tad dramatic there Toby

But pool were the team weren't they? You can't argue with that.

Not individual players who haven't even got on the field yet no.

Is Jurgen playing hardball with the owners?

He can turn the tap off too.

Has Klopp ever won a cup competition ? Maybe he just cutting his losses and concentrating on top 4.

2 things, the ease which Wolves are finding their wide men when they transition from defence to attack will be worrying for Klopp. The second is that practically nobody in the Liverpool team are making an impression with the ball, somebody in red in the second half must be brave enough to start making telling contributions, even if it risks the wrath of the Anfield crowd, practically every player out there has shrunk today playing in difficult circumstances.

Randall is League One at best and no is not one for the future or the present. He can only be playing as TAA will be in the Chelsea game probably as Clyne has a knock. No other reason.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,212 ✭✭✭shamrock55

I think Klopp is just saving himself the embarrassment of not winning a final by just not getting to one

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

It's like the "backs versus forwards" game you have at the end of training.
The forwards tend to score a few but still lose!!
We need to put it in the box now and again and win the fallout....

No excuse for the overall performance, but that first goal was offside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Bring on Can for Randall to play RB

Then Coutinho and Sturridge for Woodburn and Lucas at the 60

Randall is the worst player I've seen play for Liverpool in quite a while

Can and RB should never be uttered in the same sentence again. Stoke away, 2014/15. Enough said.

Where the free kick was taken from shocking.

Needs to hold himself culpable moreso if you ask me. They badly needed a comfortable performance today, now the sense of tension and pressure and media hyperbole will be multiple times worse going into Tuesday.

The positional sense of many of the players seems to be directionless. It is his job to sort that out.

I always picture United fans showing up at half time in a Liverpool match thread where they're 2-0 down (or vice versa) like this:

    clinton-and-obama.jpg

    I love this picture.

Having Gerrard as a pundit is pointless, he's employed by the club he's going to say fúck all.

    Missed that game :p

Milner then. Can't imagine anybody on the bench being worse than Randall. I'm all for giving youth time and not being overly critical, but in his case he's clearly out of his depth through no fault of his own, needs to move on.

    Randall off ... well, it's a start.

Randall off, Coutinho on not like for like - three at the back?

    Yep Lucas drops back.

    Happy with that switch

No question that Joe Gomez is a long way from full match fitness
