Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Although Manchester United and Wigan Athletic have met each other 18 times in all competitions but this is the first time the two clubs have met in the FA Cup.

    • In the 18 previous meetings Manchester United have won on 17 occasions.

    • Wigan, in those 18 previous games have kept just 1 clean sheet.

    • In 16 of those 17 wins, Manchester United have scored at least 2 goals, they`ve scored 4 on 6 occasions and 5 on 3 occasions.

    • The only time Manchester United have lost to Wigan came in April 2012 when Wigan won 1-0 on their own pitch.

    • On the 8 occasions Wigan have played at Old Trafford, Wigan have lost all 8, they`ve conceded 28 goals and scored just 1

I hope thats true, I'd like to see how a few of those players get on, even if the risk is there of a disjointed performance due to too many changes.

Good result for millwall. Only watched the first half but Morrison was the best player on the park delighted he got the goal.

Interesting if bastie starts today apparently he was added to the Europa squad too

Back to quick slick passing today and hope we have our finishing boots on.

    4 zip Rashford brace.

Basti first goal would be nice to see, so are Martial Mata and Mkhitaryan the three musketeers or more mouseketeers.

How is that not a booking for Fellaini.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,594 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

I'd say it's one of those "too early to be a booking".. ridiculous really.. was a definite yellow

Midfield is too slow with bastian and Fellaini playing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭limnam

    basti looking rusty

Martial giving the ball away 3 times now 4 attempts

  • Midfield very slow

So unsurprisingly a midfield axis of Fellaini and Schweinsteiger looks slow and clumsy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Probably the slowest midfield united have ever played.

Basti will need some time. He's had 16 mins of action in 7 months.

Does Rooney expect to have 30 seconds with ball when he receives it?

Wigan looking a little hungrier and a lot better

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Wigan - Connelly with a great chance to drive into the area but elects not to.

Wigan doing pretty well so far.

  • Wigan have all the bite
    Terrible so far from Utd
