Goal before half time won the game for us. Better performance in second half and started with the attitude of the team.

I really hope you're right. Like the guys in studio said, he fought his way back into this team via pure professionalism and he didnt disappoint. Certainly a nice option going forward

I really liked his interview.

Basically saying he is happy to play how and when Jose wants him.

Its fantastic to see. Many of Jose's detractors had Mikhi written off, brilliant man management from Jose.

If someone comes in for basti on a free would his wage be high enough to warrant him to leave, he is well loved by the fans and really imho the tragedy of too many players fighting for so few spots. He would make a great utility sub.

Have to say, Bastian was immense today. Controlled and influenced everything we did. He is not only a good option for rotation with Carrick, I think he could be a better option than Carrick whose performances have been decent but overrated in my opinion.

While I'd like to see him get more game time, that was Wigan. I'd hold off on saying he's a better option than Carrick until I see the evidence against a PL team.

Yep, two players who had their United futures written off by the mainstream media at various points scored today for us.

Plus another player scored who a section of our own fans wanted to see gone in January.

Considering the above, the scoreline, the youth fielded, that was a very good game for United, if not from United.

Agreed, but his performances, though limited so far this season have been very good and he's at least worth a shot at rotating with Carrick. Carrick has not done anything exceptional this season himself and the praise heaped on him is quite over the top in my opinion, especially given the fact that he put in some very mediocre performances during our winning run.

Bastian has never let United down once he put on the shirt and similarly to Rojo who also got undue criticism (while being played out of position), I think given game time he would show us what we (and Jose) are missing.
